  1. Gonna take some work to ensure that all 4 rear wheels track correctly. Thanks for showing the bottom, Casey. The directions at the link do not show any of the axle details. It is truly a product of it's era. More a 'representation" than a replica.
  2. And, Can I use the little '63 Chevy wagon to pull the Drag Car? The future is so bright, I've got to wear shades!
  3. Cool Story. What a Neat Woman. What my Grandfather would have called a "Pistol!"
  4. Was at my HL Wednesday. More empty spots on the Car Shelves. No More "Supernatural" kits. The '59 Chrysler is gone too. No other new kits, it's now S.S.D.D. (same stuff-different day)
  5. For those who may not remember back to 1972, here are some pics and directions of the kit. The directions are very poor. No mention of the extra wheels/ axle out back and no mention in the directions of the stock parts that were called out on the boxtop. Some Nifty Extra parts though. NOTE!! I have no idea what Boxart Round2 will choose. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1971-1980/mpc-71-chevrolet-ra/
  6. These are not "Real" Taxi markings, but if you are OK w/ fictional companies, they might work. https://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/gr-11059.htm
  7. Frame is Jowett Jupiter, with a VW Front axle.
  8. RC Co-Cola at my house. I'm Californian, but RC has been my go-to for 25 years now. I'll drink the others, but when I'm buying, it's RC, all the way. Back to the thread.... I'm tremendously happy that Tom Lowe can leverage Coke Memorabilia Collectors into paying for Fresh Kits, for us. The Coke decals are a nice bonus, but otherwise I'm getting fresh new plastic, and sometimes Neat Accessories. The large Coke Cooler in the '61 Ranchero, will sell me the kit. I'd like a few more of the Green Coke Bottle "Cases" that are out there, but I've not wanted a kit that has them, enough to buy that kit. All the Joking aside, if putting Coke Decals/Logos on a kit, will get me more kits, then I'm all for it. I don't quite understand the folks who gripe about the Coke branded kits. It's not hurting them. Coke Collectors are subsidizing our kits! What's not to like? It means Round2 has some more money to spend on stuff WE want. Like the '64 Olds that is coming back. I want more of that. Bottom line, is that if Round2 has to sell Coke Kits to better afford restoring old tooling, then Good for them.
  9. Mine is on deck to be a Fire Chief's Car. They often bought nicer cars than the PD.
  10. And, Moulded in Colour! Bleu, No Less!
  11. Well, I've Done My Part. Bought One, which is all the budget allows right now. I've read that they are selling fast, so that is good. I hope they do well. Wouldn't a Coke themed '72 Chevy Pickup sell well, right now?
  12. Going Back to the tires on this kit. I have the Squad Rod Nova from a couple years ago. I checked last night. The Bag of tires for both the Nova and this new Impala are the same. Identical tires in both kits. So, my OCD is satisfied now. I'll be using the Stock Wheels from the AMT Chevy Police/Fire van in my build. They are close enough to correct for me. Even better, I have one of those Van kits in my stash already, so I'm set there.
  13. I agree with you, Bill. That said, if they just clean up the tool, and run it as it is now, I'd be thrilled. It's a rare kit, and getting harder to find every day.
  14. If they were gonna do it, why not do it correctly, with separate hubcaps and plain steel wheels? at least they tooled the correct caps. Maybe some resin caster will split the wheels and caps, and offer them as a set.
  15. Also, the "Stevens Intl" version has the Dropped Axle and Front Mags. So the White Box, and Steven's kits are the ones to get if you want more spares. This new issue has a mighty bare chrome tree.
  16. Great Fords! I love the Woody.
  17. I Do see Atlantis kits at H.L. In fact that is where I've gotten all the Atlantis kits I've bought.
  18. It does have a 'lowered' front axle.... Dang, I wish out H.L. still had some.
  19. Pat Covert Built one too, back in early 20's or late 199O's. I remembers seeing it in SAE way back when.
  20. Yes! Thank You, Jason. Now to print off a copy and get to work.
  21. Ah, Thanks, Casey. I'll dial back on my desire for this, and focus on other kits, then.
