  1. Is Magister Resin still around? I had his site bookmarked for these Monaco/Fury parts, bit it has disappeared. Anybody want to sell a st of the grill pieces?

  3. The Titanic. That 4th Funnel was a fake. In it's day, more Funnels equaled 'faster ship'. Hence 4 funnels when everything else had three.
  4. Guido, I'd not use the blower in the MPC/Round2 '67 kit. It is a blurry, soft, blob. I'd use the one out of the Revell '64 GTO.
  5. Hakan, I"ll agree with you. Those are some nice tires. I'd gladly purchase them in a set. But this set has to sell well, for the 11:00 to ever have a chance.
  6. John, those are some clean builds. Way to go with your AMC collection.
  7. Jeff, I suspect that you are correct. The CHP is minor cultural phenomena by itself, and the dynamic box art, corrected wheel/tire package, and new lightbar will all be additional incentives. This thing will sell very well.
  8. HPI Guy has his.
  9. Ooooh! This will be my X-mas gift to myself.
  10. This is a case where just a straight re-issue will fall flat. Ditching the Two Piece Slicks(forever!) would help as well. Also, open up every blocked off bit in the tooling, especially on the chrome trees. As a last thought, include the huge No Name Treaded Tires that originally appeared in the 80's-90's Michael Keaton Batmobile. They are an almost Drop fit on the rims from the modified stockers. Two Kinds of tires, Revised Decals, and extra parts, and these kits will be snapped up by those in the know. And every other Hobby Lobby buyer will pull the trigger based on Box Art, Decals and Tires.
  11. Rob, any more pics of the Blue one? It looks very sharp, for a survivor.
  12. Tony, I agree with you on the decal sheet idea. This is a case where just a straight re-issue will fall flat. Ditching the Two Piece Slicks(forever!) would help as well. 13. Casey, That is indeed a very nice decal sheet.
  14. You are correct, Lee. I'm still gonna use the Impala wheels. Close enough for a "Three-Footer", for me.
  15. So.... Both the '65 and '66 Chevies? That is great.
  16. You can a have set of my Coca-Cola decals. I have extras.
  17. There are Resin grilles on the 'Bay, for the '70 right now. I'll bet a Plain Jane grille is out there now, or soon Will be. I'll be doing the '70 Impala Wheels with a stock V-8 build when I get mine.
  18. Man, That is a Sharp Build. Between you and HPI Guy, now I have to get one of these.
  19. Those had better be some A1 decals. Putting those on Beaded Panel sides is going to be a real trick.
  20. So. The Newly tooled Stock Ford Hubcaps from the Cruisin' Van, and some new decals and Coke Goodies, and you have a whole new kit. Now, THAT is what I call 'leveraging an asset'! Good Show, Kats at Round2!!
  21. Yeah, I want one to try to build a Faux-Sreet Machine. Carbs but no blower and a pair of front seats, with treaded tires out back. It won't be at all accurate, but it does sound like a lot of Fun!
  22. HobbyTown USA will soon be spared the whole Franchise Fee issue. That will be because the folks running corporate are still locked into the old business mindset. At some point soon, the number of stores open, will be too small to sustain the huge Franchise Fees, dropping below the minimum required just to run Corp HQ. At that point the whole deal will collapse into bankruptcy and we will hear a sob story or two from the CEO of the failed chain, lamenting that after raising fees to overcome shortfalls from constantly closing stores, the whole thing died because customers weren't spending enough money. Poor Management will never be publically mentioned.
  23. I did not know any of that about the side markers. Learn something new every day. Thanks.
  24. I saw a Real One in a similar colour, on the road home, after Mass on Sunday. It could have been this one, they are that close. You nailed the look completely.
