  1. This and the 4x4 will be combined by me next year.
  2. Nice Clean Build, R. Scott! Blue is a great colour for that rod.
  3. Either Way, I've gotten about 4 sets of them now, as the "bonus" in new Round2 kits. I'm beginning to have too many of them. It feels like they are becoming less of an extra, and more like just another option. I have mixed feelings about them. They are well done, and I'm glad of the 'value added' they represent, but they are not a style I particularly care for, or will ever use. So in that sense, they are of no value in getting me to purchase a kit. I buy kits based on what I like, and these wheels have no influence on the pros & cons of that decision. I'd much prefer a great set of Cragar Rims instead.
  4. Thank You both for your thoughts. They give me ideas on how to proceed,
  5. Thank You, Bill. I may give it a try.
  6. I have an "almost" complete AMT 1950 Chevy kit. It lacks only the Frame. Can I use the Chassis from the AMT 1955 Chevy Cameo as a donor frame? Or, are they too different to swap? If not, I'll need to go hunting the '50 kit frame. TIA, Alan
  7. I have this kit. It is neat.
  8. Mike, thank you for the comprehensive write up on this kit. I've never liked Range Rovers, preferring the Old School looks of the "Real" Land Rover, but you work has me changing my opinions. Maybe you could do the same for the ESCI Toyota FJ Landcruisers? (hint, hint)
  9. The Road Boss, and Diamond Reo all share the Same Cab. (I think?) Anyhow I have the Reo, and I have a question about the cab. As shown in the linked instructions, there are two pieces called "Lower Cab Sections" that glue to the bottom of the cab. http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/big-rigs-trailers--/amt-white-road-boss/whiteroadboss09.html#media Do I need to use some small tabs in order to get this to fit securely? The Butt Joint looks really flimsy, especially when stuffing the glass, and the interior up into the cab. I'm stuck on my build trying to figure this out. If anybody has any experience with this, I'd sure like to know! Thanks, Alan
  10. Mark, Casey, I suspect you are both correct. It will sell well. Just not to me LOL
  11. The Decals and the box art do nothing for me. I know how bad the kit is now, and don't need one. I just had the thought, however, that Round2 might up the ante some more by including tinted glass, and a huge decal sheet with items from some of the other versions, this tooling has seen over the years. There hve to be older boxings than the "Old Pro" boxing, right?
  12. Second the Motion on the Autocar Trump Duck. I have the kit, mint in box, but I'm afraid to tackle it just yet. I think I'll ruin something, and never be able to get another, (that I can afford). I have a sealed Paystar Mixer as well.
  13. Even throwing in a set of Pad Printed tires, and another "All New" decal sheet won't help this old kit. As Snake says, the fit on this kit is now awful. Without a whole bunch of re-tooling, I won't be getting one. Besides, wasn't this just out about 4 or 5 years ago, as part of the Silver Screen series, as Axel Foley's car from Beverly Hills Cop?
  14. Try the Black car then. Two distinctly different Diff. covers. Axle is the same in both cars, diff covers are different.
  15. Try the 66 Malibu SS Kit. The Diff Cover is different frm the Rat kit.
  16. How is this coming? The Thomas is my favorite Brass Era car.
  17. Wow! Great Build, of a rare kit. You did it justice.
  18. That, Sir, is not a Hillbilly Targa. That is a Formal Open Touring Sedan!
  19. Jason, PM me. I'll be at the Reunion. It would be a please to chat.
  20. Chuck. Yes you are. Every time I see a set on the 'Bay, they go for Crazy $$$, by themselves. It was easier to just buy the +*&*#! kit.
  21. You and your young client have great taste! That Maroon Elky with the Baby Moons and W/Whites is very sharp. Your in-progress shots show very detailed work as well. I'll be watching.
  22. OK, Tom, How about I save up and we'll buy a pair of the Old Monogram Land Rovers, at current market prices. That Should get Atlantis Models to see if that tool is in the collection of molds they just purchased from R/M, LOL.
  23. Curtiss RC3 Air Racer. 1/48 scale Hawk kit. One of a set of six IIRC. Strangely, one is in the Porco Rosso animated film.
  24. Triple Wow! What a great build.
