Not familiar with this kit, but just a couple suggestions. You may have to do some minor alterations to the chassis or try tucking the headers in as close to the block as you can for clearance.

Just received my latest order from Texas 3D Customs and again am totally blown away. Got a couple of Econoline seats, couple of Powerglides, and an injected Ford SOHC. IMHO these pieces should be displayed in the Louvre art museum, they are that beautiful. Now I just need to find my workbench, get it cleaned off, and get busy building.

'29 Ford roadster street rod [AMT/Revell kitbash]
TarheelRick replied to Can-Con's topic in Model Cars
Definitely one fine looking street cruiser. Beautiful paint work and those wire wheels really look good. Beautiful piece of work. -
Going to be watching this one. I love those fat-fendered Fords, they can be built in a myriad of ways and none of them are wrong. Didn't Lindberg acquire this mold from AMT, there is very little variation if any between the kits.

Making Windshields and Windows Clearer
TarheelRick replied to Miatatom's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
You may be surprised if you just look around your house at the amount of clear plastic. A whole lot of the product you purchase are encased in plastic. I buy salads at the grocery store, and they come in a good-sized, clear plastic container. Although I haven't bought one in years dress shirts quite often come in clear plastic containers. Hope this helps in some way. -

What do you drive?
TarheelRick replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I saw a blue one on the dealer's website and that was what I was looking for. When I got there, I found out that one was a presale and was already gone. However, they had another one speced the same way, only a different color; I needed a truck, so I took it. 5.0, 10 speed, 4X4 and a healthy rumble when the foot goes down. No trouble getting my boat in and out of the water. -
SCMA Show & Contest Spartanburg SC January 21st,2023
TarheelRick replied to VW93's topic in Contests and Shows
Flyer doesn't say but I am going to presume this show is going to be in Spartanburg. -
I guess there are mostly available from on-line dealers. Have never seen one out in the public domain. Of course, I am relegated to Hobby Lobby and Michael's as my "hobby shops".

AMT '60 Chevy Fleetside Restomod
TarheelRick replied to Tcoat's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Turned into a really sweet street truck. I would definitely enjoy cruising around in that one. That color really sets it off. BTW, it is a Round 2 (AMT) not Revell. -
Sure wish they would repop these parts packs. They are getting hard to find and quite expensive when you do find them.

Beautiful Galaxie. Color is subdued just enough, nothing garish. Got just the right stance also. One quality build.

I think that is going to be one sweet '55 when yu get it done. I like what I see so far.

As the others said, that is some very nice work. Really enjoy your creativity. Love VW vans. -
Dodge L-700 Custom Hauler

Very well-built hauler. Do you have any photos of the lift cylinder? That is a nemesis of mine. -
1970 Ford F250
TarheelRick replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Beautiful work, whole lot of body rot. Pictures look good to me. Very nice build, I like it. -
I may have to modify one of my digital calipers, looks like a very good idea. Harbor Freight has digital calipers ranging in price from $10-50. The ones I have cost around $20.

That Boss 429 really looks righteous between those rails. Very nice and convincing FED. Those drivers had some serious brass.

Very nice collection of work, really like the lakester-roadster. Did you do a WIP on that one? Just wondering about the canopy, some really impressive work.
