  1. That Powerstroke thing is hideous.
  2. Far out man! I can envision some KISS in the 8 track and some funky smells in the back!
  3. That turned out amazing!
  4. Have a look at Smyth Performance. https://www.smythkitcars.com/ He's building ute kits for Volkswagen Mk4 Jetta, Volkswagen Mk5 Jetta, Audi A4, Dodge Charger, and now the Subaru WRX/STI. I love this stuff. Picturing an SRT Charger Ute.
  5. I'd get myself a place in Tofino, BC right on the ocean. Put a Jeep Wrangler in the garage out there. Would also get a membership in one of those private jet charter clubs so I can utilize it to fly out to Tofino whenever I want. Around home, we'd move, larger house but in the same area. The contents of the garage would improve, but it's not like I'd be buying dozens of cars. Wifey wants a new Tahoe. I'd want an AEV Prospector XL built on a Ram megacab. Porsche 964RS. Maybe a Charger Daytona or Superbird. The guitar collection would increase a huge amount. The kiddies would of course be set up for all future educational needs. And future housing for when they move out. I'd go talk to the Stollery Children's Hospital and talk about what they are trying to raise funds for over the next 5, 10, 15 years and see how we can make those projects happen. Then I'd head on over to the Edmonton Humane Society and discuss some big projects and how I could assist. Maybe after all of that, and some travelling, I'd look into building my own racetrack. Some kind of road course, maybe hire a guy and ensure it's FIA approved, just for funsies.
  6. Go check out the WIP on this build! It's in the Big Boys section. Been following this for months.I'm just staggered at how nice of a build this is.
  7. Finally snagged one of these. I've been wanting one for years, and have never seen one locally, and never got around to ordering one. Finally saw one for cheap on Ebay. Brand new, and when I got it, was still in the original plastic wrap.
  8. Let's see some pics! Now you've got me wanting one. Wifey would NOT be impressed if I brought one of these home. lolz
  9. I like that AMT have been reissuing some of these kits with a full colour print included in the box. Would be great if they offered up some actual poster sized prints, suitable for framing.
  10. These arrived yesterday. I'm on a truck kick, and the Volvo was a great deal. The '57 Ford I finally snagged, strictly for the gasser bits. Not sure what I'll do with the rest of the kit.
  11. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/ccrp-1105-build-a-police-auction-project-car/ https://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2795321&page=1
  12. No, no no!! The Cannonball build is your baby! What I mean is that if everyone wants to do the P2P for Cannonball, then that's cool. I would create a second non-Cannonball community build.
  13. And remember everyone, there's nothing to say there can't be two both community builds. One will be the Cannonball, the other can run concurrently. Everyone is happy! Heck, I'll organize the van one.
  14. Well, since 10am this morning, it's been legal here. The local news outlets were reporting from the dispensaries. People literally starting lining up last night. Spent hours in line before the stores opened, and hours after. This of course plays in to the stereotype that pot smokers are unemployed. I was confused though. I assume that most of these people were not brand new users. So why line up for hours to get something you have already been using and have obviously been able to source? And really...why line up at all? Just order in online. Overnight delivery. I've leased about a dozen vans to a company that does the online sales. Been top the warehouse. Security is absolutely mental. Way more secure than a bank. Yet the vans are just white Promaster cargo vans.
  15. The elephant made me laugh.
  16. This is now the official P71 appreciation thread. lolz. This is the same one I posted above. Now with goofy wheels. And now with those goofy wheels painted black.
  17. The guy in car is totally checking out her butt.
  18. Well, the reliance on old equipment gets a little deeper in this week's episode.
  19. Fantastic news! So happy for you guys.
  20. Wait...Nanton has a model show? Not even Edmonton has one. When is it usually? Sounds like I need to take a roadtrip next year!
  21. I would love to see the old Jeep 4.0L inline 6 back in a new Jeep. I had a few Jeeps with that engine, and it was bulletproof. Had a 93 XJ Sport and put just over 440,000km on it before I sold it,. Then a 2005 Jeep TJ Sport that got about 80,000km in a year and a half. Tons of power and low end torque, decent economy, no issues. My next Jeep was a 2008 JK Sahara with the 3.8L V6, and it was so anemic. I loved the rest of the Jeep, but that engine was just awful. Bill, you would probably know the answer to this. Was the 4.0L engine used in the 92 and later Jeeps based on that 4.2L GM engine that came from the AMC days? Or was it a brand new engine? I suppose I could google this, but I'd rather do it old school and ask someone.
  22. I wonder if it's the same guy I recently did a trade with. We came to an agreement on a trade that we were both happy with. There the kit arrived on my doorstep, there was a kit issue that had could not have been foreseen in any way shape or form by anyone. Yet this gentleman still chose to send another kit despite my protests. We have some pretty great people around here.
  23. 100% a real car! Full air ride suspension. Personally, I'd do a static drop, but that's just me.
  24. Sold my truck. Was beautiful, but I was kind of underwhelmed by it. Made money on it so all is good. Driving a beast (2018 Ram 2500 Limited Megacab) until I figure out what I want to replace it with.
  25. I like the old Ford P71. Wouldn't mind picking one up, and then adding all the Mustang go-fast parts I could. And it would have to be lowered.
