  1. Found these in local classifieds. Will probably try to trade off the Cuda, but the package deal was too good to turn it away. The '72 Chev is still factory sealed.
  2. Cool looking truck for sure. And to tide us over until someone makes a kit of it...
  3. As a former member of the local VW scene, I dig it. Even though I never got into the whole "stanced" thing. Your work is second to none so far. Want to see more!
  4. Doesn't look so bad to me! I have this kit en route. I'm still looking forward to building it.
  5. One of the best BMW body styles ever. Watching this one.
  6. As much as I love the V8, some of the smaller engines are pretty fantastic. The 3.6L Pentastar V6 that you find in a wide range of FCA cars is fantastic. GO try a new Grand Cherokee with the V6, and put it in sport mode. Over 300hp, and that Jeep needs nothing more. It's crazy fast, can tow, and gets great economy. It's equally good in the Challenger/Charger, and is really good in the Ram 1500. The V6 in the base Mustang, NOT the EcoBoost, can be made pretty potent with only a few bolt on pieces. And the VR6 in older VW, like my 93 Passat is a beast! Especially if you do what I did, and delete the AC, change out injectors, change the programming, add a freer flowing exhaust, and bolt on a big turbo! And the sound is incredible.
  7. With the current crop of V8s, you can have both! Cylinder deactivation, direct injection, 7, 8, 9, & 10-speed transmissions, hybvrid assist. You can actually get decent economy out of 400hp engines. They're not as efficient as a 4-cylinder, but they're pretty good. And nothing comes close to the sound of a V8 with a decent exhaust system. Just listen to an SRT engine, or a Hemi, or the 5.L F150 engine with an exhaust. Or the BMW M5 engine from a few years ago, or a Porsche Cayenne.
  8. Deftones do a lot of really good covers. I particularly like this version of Drive.
  9. SOmething I rediscovered lately. When in a mellow mood, I like listening to slower, darker music. Something melancholy, something mournful, dark, whatever. Raining Gold by A.R.O. is pretty good. She is Ozzy's oldest daughter. Yes, THAT Ozzy. She's the one that did not want to be on the tv show. Does not sound like Ozzy at all.
  10. I watch this show a lot back in the day. Although dated, the humour still stands today.
  11. Man, how do you guys find the time to jump on these builds so quickly? I'm at least two community builds behind! lolz
  12. That would be an interesting idea for a community build! I traded this kit here. Part of me wishes I had kept it.
  13. Good choice! These new Camaros look great in grey.
  14. I use a tackle box as well. It's just convenient for holding everything. Paints in the bottom, brushes, knives, tools, etc in the top trays.
  15. Does The X-Files count? I don't really watch crime/police shows, unless you count Brooklyn 99.
  16. Westworld is back next week, so that will keep me happy for a while.
  17. We gave up on FearTWD after season 1. Just didn't care for the stories or the characters. The finale was just kind of a dud. Not a ton of action, an "all out war" that was more of a skirmish. At the very least, they could have introduced the talking zombies at the very end of the finale. Give people a real shocker to end on!
  18. Well THAT was a disappointing season finale.
  19. Did some digging. Found info. The awesome white Camaro: http://www.theelectricgarage.com/auctions/vehicle_details.php?auction_id=63&id=5522 The Pierre Cardin Javelin: http://www.theelectricgarage.com/auctions/vehicle_details.php?auction_id=63&id=5968 1972 Pantera: http://www.theelectricgarage.com/auctions/vehicle_details.php?auction_id=63&id=5758 And all the rest: http://www.theelectricgarage.com/auctions/vehicle_lot_list.php?auction_id=63
  20. Ha! It gets over about 5 degrees, and my pants are gone!
  21. Okay, on to the good stuff. I love 80s cars. A monte Carlo SS? Yes, please. Porsche will always hold a place in my heart. Even if they've been modded in ways I question. Pantera. Drool. Yeah, the interior is wrong, but these always make me smile. An Eleanor replica. I always find them kind of bland, but I know people love them. This Camaro made my pants tight. Completely custom, just stunning in person. i'm not really a Mustang guy, but these two were very nicely done. Couple of nice Chevs. A Shelby convertible. Completely undetailed. Really? Not even cleaned, while at an auction. Of course, Bullitts. I only want one of these cars. Not the new one. Thought this was a cool little MG Ang finally, I love the 70s cheese of this car, and totally want one. AMC Javelin, Pierre Cardin edition. Needed some help, but oh how I want this one. Wifey not impressed at all with this one.
  22. Hit the annual Edmonton Motor Show last night. As usual, all the newest and latest and greatest. Some of it was great, most of it was just meh. They also do a collector car auction, which I figure is of greater interest to most of you. So here are a few pics, some of the new stuff, some of the auction cars, and a few thoughts of my own. New Porsche GT3, and it's in my colour of choice. Yes, I want to drive a Smurf. This E-Type was in the same dislay as the Porsche above. Gorgeous car. I love my VW. and this new Golf R is bringing the 90s back. Similar colour to my old 95 Camar0. The 2019 Ram 1500 was there in full force. I spent a lot fo time on this truck, as trucks are my job, and I have a black 1500 Limited on order for myself. I think I annoyed the salesguy there, as I knew more than him, and ended up talking to a few people about it. Managed to get some business cards out to some people, and one already emailed me this morning. I'm going to remember this for next year, and just bring a box of cards, and then walk around scooping deals for myself. 2019 Demon. Don't really need to say much more than that. Dear Honda, Thank you for designing and building the new Insight. Finally, the world has a car that is uglier than me, and everyone can forget about how hideous I am, and can focus on how much worse you are. Sincerely, Pontiac Aztek
  23. I have a truck in mind that is serving as inspiration. no exoskeleton, but definitely a little armour!
  24. Finally have some nice weather, so I've been able to get out in the garage and do some painting! Having said that, we've just set a record here in Alberta. I think it's 172 days since we last had a day that didn't drop below 0 degrees Celcius. Was -1 this morning, currently 11. Shorts and flip flops for the first time since October.. I love it.
