  1. Had to look this up. Have never hear of the Boar's Head brand before.
  2. I have the slightly updated version, designed for use on their little green propane bottles. And I hate it. I end up replacing that mantle every other time we use it. So delicate. Really haven't used it in decades. We now have two Coleman lanterns, full LED. Each takes a few D batteries, and they last forever. Can easily take these out for several camping weekends, run them at night, and have no worries about batteries. But they're red in colour, and don't match the three burner Coleman stove we use. And we use that thing a lot.
  3. I handed in my resignation today. So after almost three years, I've left the Ford dealer. Taking a few days to decompress and reflect and all that. Next week, I start the new adventure.
  4. Surely after this weekend's amazing Ferrari win, and their sweep of the 2024 F1 season's Italian races, there must be someone who wants to add a Ferrari or two to their stash! So bumpity bump bump.
  5. That is most impressive. I like his air bag suspension solution. I don't know why, but I get a kick out of his utilization of his YouTube plaque.
  6. I have a few here that need a new home. All of these kits are new and unstarted. In most cases, box is open, but all bags are sealed. KITT is still factory sealed. I have a parts kit of this Camaro SS too, that I'll include for whoever takes this one. This Chev truck is still factory sealed. So what am I after? I like euro-subject matter, especially Porsche and Land Rovers. I like big rigs; both trucks and trailers. There are a few photoetch sets for the Revell London Bus that I need. Actually...I'd trade all of the above for a complete and unstarted Revell London Bus. Keep in mind, I'm in Canada. I'll ship anywhere, but some people won't ship to other countries.
  7. They would sell a ton of these if they put a small turbo 4 in the front, manual transmission, simplified the body work, and kept it rear drive.
  8. Hands down, my all time, number 1, must have collector car has been a Porsche 964 Carrera RS. In Maritime Blue.
  9. I've been saying this for years! Not just some of the newer Round2 releases, but some of the art on Tamiya's kits would make for great posters. And when you get into the world of aircraft, Airfix is missing out on a gold mine!
  10. 100% yes. I've never purchased a kit because of the box art, but I have decided NOT to purchase a kit because of the photos on the box.
  11. Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. In 15 years of doing truck and commercial sales, these are hands down the best tires I've run, and I have swapped these onto almost all of my trucks. Pretty quiet on pavement, great in the rain, excellent offroad, 10-ply, and they're winter rated. Really the best of all worlds.
  12. Yeah, it's about 2 months from time of order to vehicle arrival. A little longer right now, because we're in the switchover to the 2025 model year. Order bank opened today and production starts in November. So the first '25s should be landing at dealers hopefully by Christmas.
  13. lolz. I'm going to bed as soon as I get home from work today. I just feel beat. ?
  14. Busy weekend. Friday was night one of the Metallica No Repeat Weekend concerts here in town. Pantera and Mammoth WVH opened. It was in our football stadium, and the weather was a beauty summer evening. Saturday, was raining and spent the day playing body shop. Took apart the Tahoe and got most of it back together. Sourced a new used hood, fender, bumper, bumper brackets, filler pieces, grille, lighting. Sanding, smoothed, and repainted everything that needed it. Had to hammer out the rad support to make it straight, and used the redneck straightening tool on the rad support/body mount on the front...tow rope and my truck, gave it a couple of yanks. Got the fender and the hood on, everything lined up perfectly. Bumper and lighting tonight. Although I dropped the grille and scratched it, so need to repaint it again. Still need to do a final polish and put the side trim and wheel arch trim back on. Sunday was night two of the Metallica weekend. Another full concert, with Metallica playing a completely different setlist. Again, weather was awesome. So tired this morning.
  15. So order one. People complain about "having" to buy vehicles they don't want, but refuse to wait for a custom order. It won't cost you any more, and in most cases will cost you less. Typically, dealers don't stock what doesn't sell. As a Ford fleet manager, I can tell you that we (and other area dealers) stock crewcabs and only occasionally bring in the reg cab or Supercab trucks. And they will typically sit and we end up having to discount them to move them. We have a reg cab 2024 F150 here right now. Been here about 2 months. Was ordered in the same spec as the crewcab work trucks we stock, but just sits. Yet the crewcabs disappear. And this reg cab is what people around here claim to want. It's about as basic as it gets. Two doors, 8ft box, V8, 4X4, vinyl floors, no park assist or blind spot monitoring or 360 degree cameras or hands free cruise or power heated seats or any of the other electric add-ons. The only options are AT tires and steps. But we've sold at least a dozen crewcab trucks with the exact same optioning in the time this one has been here. And we get orders for similar crewcabs daily. It is super easy to order in a regular cab or a Supercab truck. In fact, if you order one, it WILL get build faster and arrive sooner than a Crewcab order placed at the exact same time, and it will save you money. But no one does. Anyway, back on topic... People gripe about the 4 door Charger, but forget that this existed for 5 years. Talk about keeping the Charger legacy alive. A 2.2L Hemi monster under that hood. Drives both front wheels.
  16. Although I can appreciate the artistry, I really don't care about box art. Kits can come in a plain white box with black lettering for all I care. Having said that, crappy box art has deterred me from purchasing before. Look at some of those MPC or AMT kits; the ones that have photos of the finished model. If the model companies can't build a kit and make it look good, how am I going to do it? So I have passed on a couple of kits because of the finished box art.
  17. And the 4 door classics have traditionally been much cheaper than the 2 doors, as they were seen as less desirable.
  18. Scalemates has it. Free download in pdf. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/monogram-2605-turbo-trans-am--193533
  19. Keep in mind that owner's manuals usually change in response to user issues. So that means that the previous, older generations tried drinking the contents of the battery and looked into the headlights.
  20. Besides being available in both 2 and 4 door flavours, the new Charger will also have gas and electric engine/motor options.
  21. The new Charger will be available in both 2 and 4 door varieties. Although they've only shown 2 door versions so far. Personally, I don't care. The number of doors makes no difference to me. Probably because obtaining a newer Charger has never been on my radar. I can say though that BMW's naming conventions and numbers of doors on their vehicles has driven me nuts for years. 3 Series was split into two models. So now the 3 Series is 4 door only and the 2 door version of the exact same car is a 4 series. Unless you get the 4 Series Gran Coupe, which is also a 4 door. And then the 5 Series is a 4 door, and the 6 Series is a 2 door. Again, unless you get a 6 Series Gran Coupe, and then you have a 4 door which is essentially based on the 5 series, also a 4 door.
  22. This is very cool. I've wanted to try some sci-fi builds for quite some time now. This makes me want to do it even more.
  23. The guy on the right could also be analyzing the full 2024 colour palette for most car manufacturers.
