  1. Excellent work!
  2. Yeah, I got notice that Royal Mail in the UK is finally shipping to Canada again. Will see how Canada Post is now, as I have a package to send to the US containing a few kits and some 3d printed parts. Should be fun.
  3. Bingo! I've found some deals on EBay. Kits that are normally a couple of hundred, and found it for less than $50. Have to be patient though. Same with the antique malls and thrift sales. The deals are out there, if you keep looking. I've actually found quite a few deals at garage sales. People just selling their junk and making space. Last summer, I found three old Corvette kits for $2 each. Not that I care about old Corvette kits, but for that kind of deal?
  4. You're right, we should be professional and follow the rules to a T. So we'll do so. For some of us, this is a hobby. For some, it is literally their career. And when those people are physically unable to do everything needed to prepare and publish an issue, what should we do? Seriously. What is the solution when an issue cannot be completed within a bi-monthly schedule? Bob seems to want it made a quarterly publication, which is kind of what it has become. For now, be happy that the magazine isn't folding, and that new issues (yes, plural) are in the works. We want the mag released and out there as much as you guys do. Probably more. Could we hack something together and release like clockwork? Probably. Should we? Nope. So believe me when I say, it gets released as close to bi-monthly as we can make it. If it's delayed, it's not because anyone involved is sitting around relaxing and neglecting the mag. But, with every issue, there's a complaint thread, and with every complaint thread, we explain the reality, and with every explanation there are people that don't accept that. And to those people, I still say that maybe you should look around and find somewhere that fits your needs more closely.
  5. Everything is better as a wagon!
  6. This one stands out for me. Was working for VW at the time detailing cars and paying for university, and the Mk3 Golfs and Jettas were a big reinvigoration for the brand. The little skeleton thing the guy is playing with. VW sold those in the parts department. I have a few still. They glow in the dark.
  7. Okay, I looked, I thought about it, and I'm in. 1974 Ford Gran Torino wagon - fully 3D printed. Still fleshing out the details, but it will be period correct.
  8. Have never been to a Hobby Lobby, as they aren't in Canada. 40% off I like though. Will have to check one out. Our Michaels stores do the 40% off thing, but their model selection is weak.
  9. Excellent colour choice on the Muira!
  10. I like that! I always enjoy building the Italeri truck kits.
  11. On Sunday I'm heading own to the US for a week for week. Dividing my time between Fort Collins, CO and Cheyenne, WY. Anyone know of any good hobby stores to check out while I'm there?
  12. That's excellent! I've said many times that outdoor shots and natural lighting help improve the perceived realism of any kit. And it's something I want to do more of for sure.
  13. Interesting. So when it comes time to place a stock order, are you able to pick and choose what gets sent? Or do the manufacturers have certain things they force on you? I know in the Ford world for example, if a dealer wants a certain high demand unit, Ford would say sure, but you have to take X number of these other slow sellers. For example, you want a Raptor R? No problem. You want a Mustang Dark Horse? Sure, it comes with these two Bronco Sport Free Wheelin' editions. What do you do with the non-sellers? I guess just let them sit until they sell? What's the oldest new kit on your shelves right now?
  14. This is weird, strange, and completely ridiculous. 😐 I love it. 😀
  15. I guess yeah. I just see that Mustang as a fairly old kit. But you're right, a casual builder or someone new-ish to the hobby would find that interesting, so from just a pure eye candy perspective it makes sense. As for numbers, it's because you're a small independent shop that makes it interesting to me! I think it would help to show the kind of struggles or challenges you have as a small shop, and might highlight why it's so important to support the local hobby shop as opposed to ordering from one of the big internet suppliers.
  16. Had to come back to this one to have a closer look at how you mounted than engine. I'm working on a Monogram 930 Slantnose Cabrio, and I'm putting that same engine in it. But have a bugger of a time getting it to fit under the lid.
  17. I'm going to investigate the stash and get in on this one.
  18. Interesting. Number 3 kind of surprised me. I'm curious, what kind of numbers does this represent? How many of each kit were sold?
  19. Very cool. I wonder where these vehicles are now. And if they were tested and worked out long term. Do this now and...ugh. Just imagine how these people would be treated.
  20. Nice work! Once I clear a few started projects off the bench, this is one of the kits I want to get cracking on. I've made a vow though. No starting a new kit until I finish an old one. I'm about 20 minutes in, and so far so good.
  21. Files are all still available for purchase and download. https://cults3d.com/en/users/Andrey_Bezrodny/3d-models
