Behind you and the bench
iamsuperdan replied to KC FitiWerks's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Tiger stripe Charvel...nice! -
I try to spend an hour each evening, and then usually a Sunday afternoon, but quite often life gets in the way. Driving duties to get my daughter to and from dance or work, walking the dog, volleyball, yardwork, other family stuff, vehicle repairs, camping/hiking, etc. Sometimes it depends what I'm working on. Could be a point where I do a couple of steps, but need glue or paint to dry/set before I can continue, and moving stuff and getting another kit out just seems like too much work. Sometimes I'm just not into it. I just try to make sure I maximize the time I do spend there, and if I'm not enjoying it, I'll step back and do something else for a bit.

Wow. That might be one of the most impressive carshows I've seen. The dollar value there is blowing my mind.

Your biggest blunder
iamsuperdan replied to LL3 Model Worx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
None really. I don't get too fired up over mistakes. Monogram Ferrari 512TR comes to mind, somehow spilled a drop or two of glue on the hood...when it was pretty much done. I had the kit completely assembled, and was attaching the door mirrors. So literally last step, and I goofed up the hood. Ahh well. Touched it up, meh. -
Picture dump. Time to empty the computer. And while going through my "funny" folder, I realized that I can't post 90% of the things that make me laugh. Most against the rules and I'd have to give myself a 30-day ban. Many would just make certain people here angry because they would go against their opinions. The amusing part is that all of them have been used in work emails or presentations over the past few years. Anyway, here are some that are site appropriate.

How about some spooky halloween music

Wednesday 13. Pretty much all of his albums are a cross between 80s glam metal, punk rock, and B-horror movies. I love it -
At Walmart (at least one store)
iamsuperdan replied to Classicgas's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Haven't seen any of these here in my neck of the woods. But then, I don't venture into Walmart much. And wifey won't tell me if she happens to see a rack of models because apparently I "have too many as it is." Pffft. Too many models. Like that's actually a thing. -

Pretty cool. His whole "hoonigan" brand and aesthetic are not my taste at all. But his car control is second to none. And Vegas is the perfect backdrop for a spectacle like this.

Round2/AMT should do another series of box art puzzles. His artwork is great.

AMT 1/25 2020/21/22 Dodge Charger R/T
iamsuperdan replied to Jordan White's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Currently, you can't. Not from Clearly Scale anyway. Not sure if there are other vendors doing them. Iceman would be a good start for sure. There are probably 3D print files available too, if you're into that. -

AMT 1/25 2020/21/22 Dodge Charger R/T
iamsuperdan replied to Jordan White's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Sorry, just saw this. I'm not sure what this one is. Obtained it as part of a collection. It's been said above that it's an Iceman kit. The green parts are Clearly Scale. Some of the black parts are from a Charger/Challenger kit of some description. -
My all time fav movie. But the book is better. I have a handful of these kits, two currently started. One movie accurate Christine, one not so much. Looking forward to seeing yours all wrapped up.

Cue the aftermarket. The Hellcat engines are out there. Widebody packages should be available pretty quick I would think. I predict a number of 2-door conversions.

Will have to try this. I messed up a Ferrari, huge blemish on the hood. Haven't fixed it, and it bugs me every time I look at it.

As awesome as that Plymouth is, what's the G body in the background? -
That's awesome. One of my all time fav movie cars.
