  1. The viewer voted 1948 Austin is done! I post more pictures in “Under Glass”
  2. Fresh out of orange and clear coat, it looked a little hazy. After a little Novus polish, it looks fantastic! I’m a little ahead of my own schedule now! Maybe she will be done by Sunday night!??
  3. After a bit of a pause, work continues on the Austin. I ended up installing micro magnets in the firewall and hood. I just couldn’t get a decent gap and make it easy to open at the same time. These worked real well! I hope to have it in paint next week!
  4. Nice job! Another of my favorite kits to build. Goes together real well! I’ve toyed around with a ‘71 conversion.
  5. I like it a lot!??
  6. The ‘58 through ‘62 Corvette kits from Revell/Monogram are among my favorite kits to build. Last year I kitbashed the ‘58 and ‘62 to make a ‘61 from my youth. Worked so well I started another!
  7. Looking real good!??
  8. One of my favorite kits and definitely one of my favorite cars! Looking forward to updates!
  9. Casting the hood is easy and doesn’t cost me anything. I usually use leftover rubber because I mix up too much for something else.?
  10. Thanks Bill!??
  11. I found the 63 bumper! Would you like a couple castings?
  12. Okay. Thought you said you wished you had ordered two bumpers .??‍♂️
  13. I found the 1963 Riviera rear bumper! I have the 63 hood too. I’m pretty sure I have a 65 hood I could cast too.
  14. I’ve always liked this kit from when I was a kid. I had one or two back then. I don’t know what happened to them, but I recently acquired another one.
  15. This is a project that was in the running for my next “Bring out your Dead” subject. But while I was waiting for voting to close I decided to see if I could knock it out in 3 days. And I did!
  16. Spent tonight setting the ride height. The wheels are from the first issue of the Revell Nova. Tires are from the Revell 32 Vicky.
  17. Fussing with the Austin’s flip nose tonight. It’s close to where I want it. Final adjustments will be after paint. Now to go look for a front end!
  18. I am confused, the box says 1/25 scale but if each of the squares on the grid is 1 inch then it’s a 15 inch model. What scale is that?
  19. That’s looking real nice!??
