  1. That is awesome. I just went and checked and Mr T is in the AMT A-Team van kit that I have. Looks like he is molded to sit in the front seats. When I finally get around to building my garage dio, he will be sitting behind the counter. "I pity the fool"
  2. I can't remember how the kits I received in the 70's & 80's were packaged. I have received several recent issues that were opened and taped shut by customs with a nice little card inside. Your explanation seems very possible though.
  3. They do, usually.
  4. It's possible that this hypothetical padded envelope will be held (for ransom) at the post office of the return address and not released until the postage due is paid.
  5. I have been sending and replying to messages most of the day with no issues.
  6. Personal attacks are not allowed on this site. You are also supposed to have your name either below your avatar or in your signature.
  7. Got my order from Speed City Resin yesterday. A couple of 392 Hemis and some miscellaneous suspension parts. All looks top notch.
  8. Sure would be nice to find this rig in a barn somewhere. Nicely done!
  9. Look for a mom & pop or other small general store and see if you can talk them into setting aside some space for models.
  10. I had originally started this for two reasons. First - I wanted to actually finish a model, not just start another one. Second - I wanted to try a few colors that I was planning on using in future builds (the dull red isn't what I was looking for, but it works out OK here).
  11. Glad you found us Steve. You have officially made me want to build a garage diorama.
  12. I'm in on this as well. I had actually just started a Monogram '39 Chevy Sedan Delivery just before this thread got started. Not my photo, I borrowed it from the Internet.
  13. The old ITC Raceabout kit had vinyl decals for the stripes. Not sure if Entex included them.
  14. I have not tried it, but you should be able to go to the PM and delete it.
  15. It will be turned back on at some point. One of the options we use keeps resetting itself and will not keep. For the time being you will need to proofread what you type before submitting.
  16. Please continue the museum discussion via PM or email.
  17. There has been a few instances where folks were posting inflammatory content and then quickly deleting it, so some functions have been disabled.
  18. Well, this post made me laugh, so it isn't all bad.
  19. I hope I feel well enough to make it. Been a rough few days.
  20. Thanks for posting that Steve. I went looking for it, but thought it was a more recent thread. I bet I stopped one page short of finding it.
  21. I am locking this down. The added comments do not help.
  22. Nicely done. Love the color on the 'Cuda.
  23. For the record, I do not get to look at every thread that is posted. When a thread is brought to my attention, I go and check it out and move if necessary. Rather than complain, use the report post function like others do. It gets results. I personally consider Rancheros and El Caminos to be cars (maybe others do not). I will look for the UTE. Usually, accounts do not get deleted. The user just stops using it. I am not able to delete an account, I can only ban it. Having your account banned is a bad thing.
  24. The models could also be donated to the Smithsonian Institute. They rotate their displays and I have seen plenty of models in the Arts & Industries building. It would of course be tricky to get them all shipped to Washington, DC.
  25. Just read in the show section that it is indeed canceled. The 1:1 car show was canceled so the facility shut down everything. Dave - I have driven thru parts of WV in the past and remember seeing the waterlines above the 2nd story and not seeing a river or creek anywhere in sight. That is scary stuff.
