  1. They are commanding healthy prices on eBay. Just saw a '78 priced at $150.
  2. I like the fact that the GTX has "Factory Approved Scale Parts". Which factory........Fiat?? LOL
  3. A couple other subtle differences between '78 and '79 LRE trucks.... The front wheels on a '78 were not as wide as the rear wheels. The '79 had the wider wheels all around. Also, the '78 didn't have catalytic converters, and the '79 did.
  4. IIRC, there is a difference in front turn signal lens between '77 and '78. I think the '77 was white, or clear, and the '78 was amber. My '78 LRE had the amber lens. I think my uncle's '77 longbed D100 had the white lens. Of course, it makes no difference in kit form, as they are chrome plated, anyway. HAHA
  5. Came out nice, considering it was an ABS (Already Been Started).
  6. I suspect you're right about that, Casey! Just some wishful thinkin' on my part! LOL
  7. Wouldn't it be nice if they included all four versions of the grille and hood? And, here's a crazy thought........long bed, short bed, step bed, 4x2, and 4x4 parts all in one giant box!!! Would be a great opp to rebuild all those ancient glue bombs!!! LOL
  8. There is also this version of the stepside bed: Basically, the LRE, I assume.
  9. I wonder what kinda time frame we're looking at with this one.
  10. I'd like to have one of these: I also wonder if the dirt bike parts will be in the re-issue?
  11. I enjoyed building this kit back in the mid nineties: My stepson had a real one at the time. His did have the black centers in the wheels.

A real beauty! I'm liking the fade paintjob down the sides. Well done on this one!!
  13. Verrrry nice!!! I may hafta go ahead and get one of these kits, instead of wondering about it!
  14. I always liked the lines on these cars.
  15. Very nice Oldsmobile! I like it in gold! A real stand out machine.
  16. Great looking Buick! I think you've done a fine job!
  17. My goodness, what a sharp El Camino!!
  18. I do like it! Very subtle custom touch. Looks like it cudda been a factory job!
  19. Now, that is one nice looking Mercury!! Well done, sir!
  20. So cool! Very well done, sir!
  21. I think I have this one.
  22. I've been at it since age 8, in 1963. My aunt bought me a '62 Studebaker Lark kit, with the rubber band power plant! The following is a pic of one I purchased on eBay in 2009: I went ahead and built it in much the same manner as I did when I was 8. The only difference is I cleaned up a little flash with a #11 blade. That one got me hooked, and I've been building ever since!
  23. I remember the time when even large cars ran 14" wheels and tires. Most of the mid-size cars had them. The only reason I have 20" on the 2008 Ram 1500 is because they were already on there when I bought the truck. It did come from the factory with them, but they don't really ride very smooth. I have the same thing with the 2017 Chrysler 300s. It has 20" on it, too. From the factory...very thin tires...easy to scrub the wheels on curbs...not exactly a 'luxury car' ride to them, either. With the older set-ups, you at least had some rubber between the wheels and the curbs! A lot better for those of us who have a bit of trouble in the parking lots! HAHAHA
  24. Thank you, Michael, and thanks for the hint on this one. I might not have figured it out, otherwise. It was tough for my way of researching!! HAHAHA
