Thank you. Blue Cloud is a champ! Yes it is! You can do it! Just plan on half-speed. And thank you too.

Tom Meade, his pinnacle creation the Thomassima III. I had to refresh my memory about this, interesting story behind the man and car. 1969 Thomassima III -
Local long-time bike shop got the Chopper running good. The 3-speed hub was full of gunk and a broken spring, he had the parts and knowledge to get it to shift. He also replaced the brake cables and routed them correctly, with a flex noodle added. They also had tires in stock that aren't knobbies, I looked on eBay and found some in Australia for stupid money plus stupid shipping, so am very pleased. Shop owner enjoyed working on it, brought back good memories. So of course took more pictures. Cruised around Prescott's Plaza, because it's level ? and makes a good city setting. Stopped at the skate park too, to see how the tonnage spins in the air. ? Just kidding, no way would I attempt that!

Wow! Video of purchased collection!

I've been to Andy's place, nice there is still such a thing as a brick and mortar HOBBY SHOP (not a Hobby Lobby). Nothing different than what is always at the model swap meets, nothing I want. ? He didn't have to create a video to share with the world either. There will be some happy campers....... -

That's sacrilegiously blasphemous, I love it! It's just plastic, no harm done. I expect side pipes similar to Tom Meade's Thomassima III. -

Hope good memories! A friend got a motorcycle, got billet mirrors, gave them to me. Enough convex curve to be useful. Very cool to see a picture. Total bummer about losing so many! I've learned what a following they have, didn't know. My bike would require major restoration, the frame is slightly sagged, chrome fenders and rims very rusty, etc. Thanks Richard! My older brother had a Sting Ray. Shoot, everything on eBay is ridiculous now, need to be lucky.

Beautiful job on that! Don't think I've ever seen a real one. I owned a real '57 Chevy 4 door wagon, it was fun for awhile.

Very ambitious project! I would still continue adding things, it's too tempting. Genuine stolen parts. ?- 9 replies

I was pleased to clean up this 1970 Raleigh Chopper today. Acquired it about 35 years ago, when I worked a short time at a bicycle shop, someone brought it in asking about fixing the bent gooseneck, I asked to buy it. I had a 5 speed with high sissy bar, when I was a kid. Wish I didn't trash it riding in the desert, it was before BMX bikes came out, today they are worth some money. Not this one, it's the same condition as my pickup. It's been hanging from the rafters of my shop, almost hurt myself getting it down, weighs a ton because zero aluminum was used. Fabricated a chain guard from a range front I scavenged, goes with the cheapskate theme of the pickup. Have a car show coming up beginning of August, wanted to accessorize.

Very nice job on that! I'm surprised there isn't a kit of this, but I guess the Aston Martin is all anyone cares about.
-
Since I have this kit, will bookmark for future reference! The opening of grills is looking good, that's something I would do too.

Nice looking with that blue. I have a rally version, didn't know there is a road version. Saw my first real car in Flagstaff recently.

I parked in the corner at the bank. Came out to this. I had no problem with my door hitting the van so I could squeeze in.

? Can tell who is old here (me included). I watched some videos of the Tesla Plaid drag racing exotics, and spanking them. Saw that a brand new Plaid did a burn out, literally burnt to a cinder, the day after the owner got it. Don't get me going...... -
Thank you for reminding US, and for your service. One of my daughters is serving in the Navy, on "the Big Stick". ??
