  2. Oh really? Diorama builders would dig those subjects!
  3. to generate electricty
  4. Sir, that is beautiful. But I'm partial to '57 Chevies because my dad's father had one that he bought new, and then traded in for a "Chevy" LUV just before he died, which I inherited. Which is one reason I got a station wagon, for awhile. Love seeing a red one, you did a fine job. I've read a few stories about how this hobby is therapeutic, and this one is heartbreaking, yet you overcame it with flying colors.
  5. 442 Hurst decal. Yay! Page 89 started!
  6. I better stop wasting so much time on the net, have this project to complete!
  7. I would rather build his garage, with some of his Porsches.
  8. I like the unusual color combo! I recently got that bike/cargo kit, has some extra detail parts that were a pleasant surprise. Is that a decent kit? I wasn't very impressed with the Golf 2 "tuner".
  9. Nice! Bare Metal foil used? I knew someone with one of these, but a hardtop. Took him down to the Maricopa junkyard south of Phoenix because he needed brake drums, none around. Funny how cars have memories for you.
  10. ^^^^ Scott has good taste! And I'm sure he will find something else to get, like Renaissance Tk24/189 detail parts. This has been a subject on the back burner for a long time, doing a replica of the '57 Chevy station wagon I owned. I have 3 different '57 kits, was daunted about converting a Nomad into the lowly family truckster. Rick Hainline posted From the Class of '57 which includes what I wanted, asked where he got his, and of course evilBay. Love this forum!
  11. Great job! That turned out really well. It's a very nice kit, I have one in progress with some modifications. Do you wish the front VW emblem was separate?
  12. Excellent! Love the subject, have built 3 of those kits. The hay bales....... ~achoo~ ..... allergy season. Love the turquoise too. Did you use techniques from the Extreme Weathering book?
  13. I have not been on here for 12 years or 3,612 posts. And other times I've posted something, I was told it was posted before, so I learnt my lesson. You happen to build any of the kits listed here?
  14. Thank you! The windshield sure is clear!
  15. Thank you! Great, loose tires and windows, not a good thing to see. Is it AWD? The jalousie windows would be fun to fabricate. The steering wheel has sink mark?
