That FIU bridge, looked into that. It was more important that concrete have titanium dioxide, so it would stay clean longer. I would like to know how much that adds to the cost of concrete! Also checked into the Project Manager, seems there is some Orwellian memory hole going on, when I searched, found a Linkin hit but when I clicked it showed nothing. I could go on, but don't wish to get booted for being Politically Incorrect.

Nice collection of FINISHED Ferrari models! Great details and displays. I built that 275GTS a long time ago, I also added gas struts for the hood. I have several of those other kits in the box, so some day......

Revell (Germany) Ferrari 250SWB! New for October
89AKurt replied to Matt Bacon's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
This is my AMT build. The most obvious worst part was the rear fender line springing up before the door jamb, which I fixed. The rear end was too square, so I filed/sanded down to almost nothing if I recall. The grill shape isn't really accurate, left it alone; but the kit has two, one chromed and the other to paint aluminum, which might go into my Italeri kit that has lots of missing parts. I added the competition brake cooling ducts. The wheels are really horrible, but plenty of aftermarket available. I got the partial Italeri kit really cheap, needs a chassis, engine, has no chrome parts, so thought of making it a restorod, which would get you hung up by your toenails if it was real. -
Isn't there a risk, when the item is scarce, one-of-a-kind, low production, that you will not get the chance to buy it in the future? I'm looking at a resin body that I didn't know existed, it's up for bid, but nobody has yet. On the other hand, after looking at a set of real wheels several times, eBay sent an email saying the seller would consider an offer, I did, he accepted, so I got ripped off for less (long story).

I'm sure Matt who has Scale Motorsport thought that, but with decals. He grew into a heck of a business, and apparently is wanting to retire from it, and wants to sell it. I know it would do well for you, depending on your drive to succeed. Michael: I've modified several mirrors, can think of 3 models that got the treatment. Would be nice to have a line of what is available for the aftermarket.

Ditto all of the above. Super cool project, should end up published in a magazine (hint). I hope this isn't your Tamiya kit for the Common Kit category at the next GSL.

Why would anyone ruin a perfectly good model? More power to anyone who manages to complete such imaginative work! I know how frustrating it is, to have way more ideas, than time. I have at least two subjects that *need to* get started, but have three that are waiting for me to finish. This MINI was started and finished in a month, so I know it's possible.

Thought I was obsessed about Ferraris, wow. I actually built the Italeri 250GT California, used Maryland & Miniatures interior details, because the seats are horrible. Don't see the AMT 250SWB kit, and don't bother, it's horrible. I have the Hiro Lusso on order, which I will feel lucky to get. So I brought out my collection to inventory. -
50' Chevy COE.. with a boat

Outstanding! It's been decades since I used a resin COE cab for a project, forgot who made it, but it needed massaging. Appreciate all the work, and the turbos, great job! -

Can you send me a PM for a link (nothing close listed)? I owned a 510 wagon, had the Stovebolt 6 and Powerglide when I got it. I repainted the original colors, rebuilt the 235, did twice pipes and twin carbs, and got an adapter plate to switch out for a 700R4. I've contemplated converting a Nomad, but if that's decent enough.... Love your collection, I also have the Cameo. But yours are built, which is important!

Well done, and I really like the setting you photographed in, good eye.

Cool subject, and something different. I've been around some of these, at rallies where you could hear one coming long before any other car; and when I did track time, was following one that was super annoying loud, was glad to get past it!

Looks way too clean! Very well done. That the Meng kit? Seeing all the cool aftermarket things for Jeeps, it would be too tempting to spend a year modifying one of these, so I'm staying away from it. -
What would YOU like to see as a model

Lamborghini 350GT, sort of iconic car, not even a resin model out there. -

I'm surprised nobody has come out with a transverse V12 engine for the Lambo Miura. Seems like all the kits have only the top, and pan of the engine. Please prove me wrong!
