  1. Right on man! I have the wild hair going too, cheering you on!
  2. Looks like you have enough for a limo. ? Just like restoring the real thing, I'm amazed when something cool is the result.
  3. I searched the forum to see what this kit looks like built. I see you added details. Looks good!
  4. Just happened to find this! Looking good! I built this a long time ago, also used Norm's seats and door panels, makes a HUGE difference.
  5. You did a fine job on that. Bare Metal foil looks great. I have one of those kits, but missing the chrome tree, have a resto-rod idea for it.
  6. Wow, that's really cool! Well done too.
  7. Awesome, thanks for taking my suggestion and running with it! I know there will be more coming, this should be interesting. Years ago, I needed to break out of a slump, so kitbashed the horrid Nitto Countach (which had nice tires, but not P7s) with the Tamiya Swedish S-tank, another horrid motorized kit. I had the Monogram Countach kit, but traded it. I'm stalled on a WIP of a Lambo hot rod.
  8. Thank you! Much appreciated. I hope more of these kits get built. Thanks!
  9. You know how to do a great paint finish! I like the Scout, but it's too clean. ? Good job finishing so many!
  10. I would have to argue with you about this ?, the 250 GTO is what I consider the ultimate, the later version with the similar roof line not quite IMO. Close second is the Lusso. But to be honest, whatever kit I'm working on is the best. ? Thank you for the kind comment.
  11. Thank you! I almost went into make-a-mountain-out-of-a-molehill. Thanks! Thanks. Of course you're welcome, that's why I do this, hoping to inspire others in this hobby. Better that others are the guinea pig, you know? For example, the Aoshima Pagani has issues, so people better help us out.
  12. Thanks! That is the kit wiper, had to redo the mount pin is all. Appreciate the comment. Since you can't really see the interior, here is the best shot.
  13. Sweet! Love the subject. I do like the working "patina".
  14. WIP: Academy - Ferrari 250LM This could be considered a race car, since it was designed for racing, Ferrari had 250 Le Mans Berlinetta in the sales brochure. But some cars were (maybe still are for the brave) driven on the road, and that's what I wanted to represent. I have been in a slump, wanted to start AND FINISH one more build this year, figured this curbside with no opening panels would be a safe bet. The proportions appear very accurate, molding had zero flash. Some drawbacks are the simple but accurate wire wheels, thick glass, photo-etch not worth the trouble, but other critical opinion is strictly my OCD. Still is a nice kit. Modifications: Headlight and driving light vacuum-formed covers. Aluminum tape headlight rings. Photo-etch Replicas & Miniatures of MD front grill. Photo-etch Profil24 latches. Parts box door mirrors (I want to say Panasport style, but could no confirm). Shirt pin shift lever, and wire linkage. Added Modelers with Detail Master parts seatbelts. Opened door panels, with the pull wire. Relocated interior mirror. Added model kit box on floor. Shaved off door "handle", cleaned up and glued on after painting, rotated according to real car photos. Door windows sheet plastic. Opened fender intakes, black paper to block daylight. Made license plate. Exhaust tips are stainless steel tubing, tilted upward. Scale Finishes - Ferrari 312 Rosso Barchetta paint. Bare Metal foil. Everyone have a Happy New Year! ?
  15. Thank you. Another hobby is wood working, and I pretend to be a fabricator for parts on my '68 Chevy pickup. Thank you. I love aluminum tape, not into regular duct tape. Did a quick studio session, ready to post Under Glass.
  16. I was going to say the same thing! Nice variety of subjects, well done, and great so many were completed.
  17. That Audi Quattro and Rabbit are cool, nice job on so many!
  18. Awesome you completed so many! I like the German cars, the 300SLR is a historic car, is it a decent kit?
  19. Impressed with not only the production, but quality. Digging the Subaru WRC with co-driver reading the route notes.
  20. Instead of starting a new topic of what I built this year, much easier to just resurrect this, and add one that was looked at two years in a row (third year is the charm).
