  1. Why is it that important to delete your account. Just don't come back. Problem solved.
  2. I dig it. Keep it going.
  3. I used a shortened 73 Cougar chassis under the 66 Mustang in the past that worked great. Assuming the chassis components are still correct, it might work for this project.
  4. Yep. Practice man, practice.
  5. I've just gotten the lowrider version of the Revell '58 Impala. It comes with decals that are supposed to look like ghost flames. I'm intrigued with trying them. Has anyone used them yet can vouch for the look or maybe throw up some photos?
  6. I wouldn't think so. Novus is such a widely used product in modeling circles that if it would cause a problem with decals, we'd have heard of it before.
  7. The only rules on this are that the car must appear street legal. A hood like that being legal would probably vary state to state, county to county. It really depends on how you view this CBP. Some builders stick with cars that will NOT get them noticed by law enforcement, in the spirit of the race. Others build racers that just scream RACECAR!. I've done both. Build a car that YOU would want to race cross country in. That's really all that matters.
  8. Just finished a trade with iamsuperdan. Good guy to work with.
  9. Tommy. Can I get a year, make and model for the roster please?
  10. Perhaps the polish is having an effect? Did you wax after the polish?
  11. Man, if they would finish themselves up I'd sure appreciate it too. I'm right there with you on accuracy, the impression is all that matters. If anyone got into my model with a micrometer to measure for accuracy, I'd drag him off by his ear.
  12. Looking good. Gonna get some Bare Metal Foil on the chromey bits?
  13. Very nice. I like it.
  14. In reality, most of them will be bought up by collectors. Very few guys will attempt to drive it hard, much less drag race it. Not to mention, I've heard it's just barely under ten seconds, so after you add the weight of the safety equipment it won't be anymore.
  15. I like what I'm seeing, except the seats. IMHO, the backs are way too high for the body.
  16. Mike, you know I dig rat rods and the like. This looks cool. Looking forward to more.
  17. Hello Cale. All these questions are addressed in the original post on page one of this thread. Looking forward too seeing you work.
  18. Agreed. He's clearly trolling for furious replies, so best to just ignore him.
  19. Will do Fred. Very glad to see you back at it. As for impractical, yeah, you're there.
  20. I gotta give you credit. I'd never even bother with a model this far gone. I have too many other models waiting for my time than to add more work, saving such a thrashed piece. But I will definitely be watching this. Good luck.
  21. Good stuff guys. I think this kit is screaming for a 440.
  22. I've known Harry online since the early days on SA forums and we've had many excellent conversations. I'm sorry we never got to meet face to face. He was an excellent fellow.
  23. Thanks guys that will save me some time.
