  1. I see it's on a helmet, does that mean it's pretty durable? Will it stand up to handling?
  2. Don't know if there are any resin copies out there, but the Arii '74 Challenger has them molded on. I built a conversion decades ago using theirs and a Monogram TA Challenger as a basis. Both matched reasonably well. I used the Arii nose, hood, tailpan and those "scoops" onto the TA to make a close facsimile of a 74 Challenger Rallye.
  3. Great improvement! I've never seen one of these restored, let alone fixed up. You've shown there is hope for these misfits!
  4. Regardless, if you're going to customize it anyway, historical accuracy is a moot point. Back in the 90s, shops were converting, then new, 4x4 Blazers into 2wd and then lowering them as per the truck trend at the time.
  5. 100 years ago eh? Glad to see the glue has held up! ?
  6. That's different. I've never even heard of this kit before. Learn something new every day! Now, I'd like to find one. Add it to my Visible V8 and Visible Rotary engines. Too Cool!
  7. Not allowed to use real trucks on this forum!?
  8. Beautiful replica of a famous rig. I've contemplated my own for some time now, but was stumped for a proper trailer - and the duck needs to have a trailer, right? Thanks to your solution, I now have an idea for a basis of one. Solid wood, shaped and covered with some sort of sheet material. Brilliant! Come to think of it, the truck from "Duel" could be done the same way.
  9. Nailed- Woodgrain. I get it!!!
  10. Front wheelwell is too far forward. Hood slopes down more than stock. Part of the foose modifications.
  11. Good information! Especially the instruction sheet. Makes me wish I had an original issue. Lots of great parts!
  12. Food for thought Besides, what else would you do with it, anyway?
  13. How 'bout some billet wheels, Just for grins!! ?
  14. So does this mean the kit was designed to match the box art?
  15. I like the logging trailer idea. I think a business name on the doors should read "Evergreen Movers, you chop 'em - we mop 'em"
  16. Well it does say "kit development DUMP".....
  17. So true! ?
  18. Ok, I concede. But I come from a group of Hispanic family and friends who all said the same negative connotation with the car's name. They were very superstitious and stated that they would never buy a car that said it wouldn't run.
  19. Fabric bandages - that's a great idea!
  20. I always thought those ads were ridiculous. Selling and promoting the sale of cars based on extreme driving - that could never be done to any extent in day to day traffic. But if customer's did, they'd have a field day voiding the warranties! So what are they selling?
  21. Personal form of the verb "ir", meaning "you go" or or "it goes" "No" means the same in English or Spanish. Translation: "No va" means, "you don't go" or "it doesn't go" Which is also why GM never sold any in Mexico. They knew what it meant.
  22. Looks real nice! Where did the roof panel come from? Maybe a van, but it looks too short and too crowned to have been a full size one.
