  1. Yeah but, sitting closer makes the screen bigger! And where are we with cell phones - 6 inches? That can't be good on the ol' peepers.
  2. I'm liking it! Word of advice. Compare the profile picture with your cardboard mockup. The roof over the cab looks just a little too high. You might want to take out a little off the top.
  3. And even if they don't, they are required to have them in their junk boxes. I have a few of each! ?
  4. Seriously, If you need a break, take a break. This is just a hobby, don't force yourself. Many times I get inspired by this forum, online searches, movies, daily life. You just never know where an idea will come from. Yeah, Baby!!!
  5. Oh yeah, Monogram's C4 Corvettes (probably C5s and up too)
  6. I read that too!
  7. No running in the house with scissors! If you cross your eyes like that, they're going to stick! If you jump off the roof and break your leg, don't come running to me! It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye! Come over here and pull my finger. That wasn't me, that was the cat.
  8. I just don't see the legalities of one country assuming assets of its contractors, that's like taking your car to a mechanic for repairs and he then owns it. Why would businesses willingly hand over their vested property to a known thief? Is the savings really worth that loss? What insurance company would cover them for that kind of risk? I'm not a business major, but I won't simply hand over my hard earned property to any business or country, no matter the discount. Once my assets are gone then I have to start over again. That doesn't make sense.
  9. Pretty sure Monograms Buick GNX, Grand National, Monte Carlo SS, 87 Tbird Turbo Coupe, 89 Super Coupe and Cougar kits contain parts for A/C systems. Possibly their Mustang GT convertible and Cobra kits do too. I haven't checked mine in quite a while so I could be wrong. But I seem to recall many "new tool" 80s and 90s kits contained A/C parts.
  10. Love to see that Rick is still building and displaying his old kits. I have a lot of the old 80s and 90s model car magazines and a lot of these cars were showcased in them. So exciting to see that they still exist. Thanks for sharing, Scott!
  11. Since when does a 1969 "anything" have an ECU computer? And when does an alternator (which only charges the battery and supplies current charge) have any input to the fuel injection or, for 1969, a carburetor? If reducing electrical loads improved fuel mileage, then just turn off your radio, fan, lights and wipers. Then you can drive forever!
  12. Boy, that's gonna take a lot of glue! ??
  13. Wow, Cool! Wonder what MPG is on a quarter scale V8? I got a kick when he said functioning seat belts and air conditioning - for who? I did like the Bluetooth radio, that would be awesome on the shelf. And much more attractive than a simple BT speaker.
  14. Yep, 80,000 leagues under the sea!
  15. Be careful, if it moved after all this time, it may not have good adhesion and clear may make it wrinkle. I would research what to do about it safely, before covering it with paint.
  16. Rustoleum is my clear lacquer brand, so that's good information!
  17. Looks great! I like the colors. So lacquer is safely compatible over acrylic craft paint?
  18. How about a TURKEY in honor of the car you posted!
  19. You win, that is THEE ugliest Corvette! So bad, it's worse than hideous. It's neglected because it's useless. You can't drive it, it has no windows. Probably doesn't even have an engine. Basically just a humongous paper weight!
  20. Does he have the exhaust going out as the rear bumpers? I've seen golf carts that look better.
  21. Thanks for your inspiration Alan. I do believe you know your trucks! ? I agree on the color. Maybe grey or muted white, but nothing bright or flashy. Probably make it flat with some weathering to look like it's seen some use. I'm getting excited about this project!
  22. Check Hobby Lobby, they have pipe cleaners in the craft section.
  23. I thought that promos weren't glued but heat swaged, melting the tabs to hold parts together. Only way to separate those is to break off the tabs and reglue parts together afterwards. If yours is glued, thats a new one on me.
  24. By the way, here's the original post. I typed in "ugliest" and it came right up. Guess there aren't too many threads with that title.
