@Randy: maybe you will find some answers in the WIP on a German forum which linked below. To me, this is probably the best WIP I have seen and for certain the best Daytona Spyder build. https://www.wettringer-modellbauforum.de/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=33969

Thanks everybody for your positive feedback! I enjoyed the build and I must say that Revell really did great on detailing the few parts this kit has. My favorite part of the kit, without any doubt, being the front section with the grille and the rather realistic-looking headlights. Thanks David! I have learnt that the wheels in this kit are similar to those fabricated by Billet. Imho they make for a nice compromise between classic Mags and modern wheels. Also the ride height can be adjusted on this kit, either to "normal" or "lowrider". On the last picture, I set the front wheels to "lowrider". Do that on both sides, and it look even more "mean"... -
Both models look outstanding!

100% agreed and some great examples on this forum have shown already how good racing cars do look in "street livery".

Great work all over! I assume you will yet clean up the white paint next to the water tank?
-
I hear you! This kit is far from great. Wonder how I know? You did well on yours however. The Watanabe wheels are the right choice for this car, although I believe the Fujimi kit needs a slight bit of lowering (which is what I did on my build). As regards Gravity Colors, I second your opinion. I ordered twice with them (Spanish vendor) around 1 1/2 years ago, and it all went fine and pretty fast. In fact, they were so fast that I couldn't add another color to my order 2 hours later, one which I missed to order in the first place.

Looking great! I should say you're on the home straight now at 200 mph...

I admire your work and the great result!

Cool!

Not too big a fan of both semi-gloss body colors and this very AMG livery, but you surely did perform the build very well.
-
Great result. It seems like green is a perfect color for this car. Am I right in assuming that you opened/ scratch-built the headlight housings?
-
So what's the microphone for? Could you make your own tape recordings while driving too??
-
Great result, these are not easy to do this well! Good choice on the livery too! Great to see something different than the usual Gulf, Loctite etc. liveries...
-
Looks good! I am in the process of building the same kit currently and I know about the sticker stripe "problem". You did solve that one well but for my body color white stripes wouldn't work so I won't use it anyway. I like your wheels too. Would like to see more than just one picture though...
-
Wow, this looks fantastic! If I may make one small remark I suggest that you open the exhaust pipes for a little more depth.

What a great selection of sexy colors. There are some cars that will look good in just about ANY color, and the Charger definitely is one of those!

Hi Dann, you are entering new areas... Quick build of the Koenig SL and now actually a MUSCLE CAR! As you might know I'm in the US car "mode" currently (I might be forced to change my nick to Tommy125 eventually... ), I'll be watching whatever great work you will be doing on this kit!
-
I really like the underfloor detailing, well done!
-
Looks good but it seems like the rear left wheel is somewhat damaged/ broken on the outside...?
-
I hear you! @Dann: nice project, nice improvement. I'll be following!

Don't forget the old man, Donn Yost. -
Nice... One of those thousand faces of the old Esci kit. Regardless of the decal's state, I guess this is one of the cases where you should go for painting anyway...
