Beautiful work on both of them... Yap, Alonso's hybrid nightmare versus Senna's best ever car...

Hi folks, I finished the Eliminator yesterday. It was a bit of a fight, especially as far as the body color is concerned. I learnt that yellow is one tough color to get a good result in. Here come the images, hope you like it:

Very nice Marlin, Ludwig! What a great fastback... Great job on those long BMF stripes!

A modern classic. Beautyfully done! Aoshima or Fujimi kit?

That's a great result... awesome racecar with a beautiful livery. I have yet to do that in another livery. Your nice model would deserve more photos and maybe some closer ones...

Very nice, very clean!

Great work, Hugh! Looks very nice! I hear you!

I agree, too. BUT: part of the problem is the slow curing process. I did some testing lately painting window trims with Molotov instead of using BMF and dried that in my food dehydrator for 2 hours or so. It was much more resistant to being handled then!

AWESOME work, Kurt. This whole project and WIP is the exact opposite of 'boring'.

Painting over Molotow chrome?
Tommy124 replied to Ben's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Note that those colors are available from Tamiya BOTH as acrylics and enamel paints. Whereas the acrylics are sold in the usual round jars with 10 (mini) or 23 (large) ml contents, the enamel ones are those in the "square" 10 ml jars. As with many other paints, the acrylics dry much faster but the enamels give a more realistic finish. Personally, I would always prefer to use those clear colors on BMF rather than Molotov, but if Molotov is the choice, I gather using the enamel clear is the better move. -
Very well done! Italeri has always been an underrated brand. No doubt however IMHO that they have always given a bit "extra effort" to the models with Italian originals such as Ferrari and Lamborghini...

Very nice! Great work on the interior to get some detailing out of that old kit. The body looks great in white and the BMF and fine brush work on the emblems and badges came out nicely!

Like that AMX... Jo-Han kit?

Great result, I like it!

I agree to all of the above, GREAT result!

Well done, Ken! Looks very nice and I'm thankful for every GSX not painted yellow

The word 'productive' comes to mind... Very nice models and quite a lot of "subjects" to be seen! Did you do all these with detailed engines or is that where you saved some time?
-
You pushed all the right buttons, Jim. Very nice!

VERY nicely done!

So do I, but there's limits to that. If the source image is quite big and the required size only a few millimetres, you will end up with something unrecognizable. But I agree that it will work for license plates.

Just saw on several European webshop sites that the Ferrari kits are on sale or at least available for pre-order. https://www.hiroboy.com/Alpha_Models--manufacturer--186.html# https://www.bsmodels.be/shop/model-kits/124-am02-0008-ferrari-812-full-kit/
