Great result, these are not easy to do this well! Good choice on the livery too! Great to see something different than the usual Gulf, Loctite etc. liveries...
Looks good! I am in the process of building the same kit currently and I know about the sticker stripe "problem". You did solve that one well but for my body color white stripes wouldn't work so I won't use it anyway. I like your wheels too.
Would like to see more than just one picture though...
Hi Dann, you are entering new areas... Quick build of the Koenig SL and now actually a MUSCLE CAR! As you might know I'm in the US car "mode" currently (I might be forced to change my nick to Tommy125 eventually... ), I'll be watching whatever great work you will be doing on this kit!
Nice... One of those thousand faces of the old Esci kit. Regardless of the decal's state, I guess this is one of the cases where you should go for painting anyway...
LOL, I hear you! To me, building is the fun, progress in the build is my motivation to keep going, and eventually a nice model in the showcase is my reward - and, in a way, "proof" of both my fun and motivation. I found that if I get stuck in too lengthy builds, both fun and motivation can get lost for the time being and I pack in the "hard" build for a while in order to start an easier one.
Lucky you, I am still looking for one...
May I ask, is this the '72 GTO kit, so the same like the current MPC one with the orange car on the box? And if so, what is the difference between the '72 and '70 - or is it just the hood? The headlights seem to be different, too...
Same here... Well not many, maybe, but more than a handful. If I put one build aside for a while, then it's probably due to the fact that I am fed up with it for one reason or another. And that means it will probably take months before I'll get back to it. Continously switching between several active builds doesn't work for me, I need to stay focussed on one main project. And I manage to stack my workbench anyway, with only 1 kit on it, and tools, paints, etc...
There's several similar products from Vallejo as far as I can tell. And there also seem to be products from the old range aswell as the current one on the market. Therefore I suggest that you specify the Vallejo product no.'s in question (e.g. something like "62064"), as that surely will help to solve these mysteries of Vallejo...
I have thought about it and wasn't quite decided. Then today I found my personal answer to this, here on the forum.
To me, a pro-modeler...
...comes up with great results like this:
