  1. Cool model!
  2. You don't see post-'70 Chargers built every day, so I'll follow you build. Choice of color and wheels are right up my alley!
  3. The start looks good and I love that purple. Is it Plum Crazy?
  4. I didn't see one model finished in Liquid Blue so far, to be honest. Looking forward to see you progress on this!
  5. "Frankenstein Engine Dynamics, Weatherford, TX" That says it all, I guess...
  6. I don't know... looks perfectly fine to me...?
  7. That lOOks sensational!
  8. You have a point there. Easier to handle and build box-stock, maybe... But with some ambition, lots and lots of space to be filled with details... You did great by the way, really like your custom Camaro!

    VERY nice!
  10. I guess older folks like myself tend to compensate that by buying much more kits than they'll ever manage to build... I see your point, speaking of younger generations, my opinion is that kids today have much too much diversion and consumption like electronic media, video games etc. They barely have the "calmness" to sit down and try something that may some time building. My boy is 11 years old and I built 2 snap kits with him some time ago. He was complaining that all the parts were wrong while doing that. So I don't see him being the one to build my kit pile some day, so far at least...
  11. LOL... Yes, and there's fat milk, lean milk... I barely use enamels these days, but I guess your ratios are about what I have used back then. Never did do the thinning THAT exactly though. Merely mixed paint and thinner in a glass, and while stirring I saw if the viscosity was about right or not for the AB. Nowadays I either use Tamiya acrylics thinned with isopropanol or airbrush-ready automotive stuff. The only paint I really do mix by an exact ratio is 2k clear (clear/ hardener/ thinner ratio)...
  12. Great model, flawless in every department!
  13. Me too... wishful thinking! Tyres could be used from the military section, I think. They would have to make a full kit out of it, you cannot hide the Countach V12 inside of the LM002, can you?
  14. 3 kits off my wishlist (and the 4th one should have been on it too...)
  15. Lovely color, great Charger!
  16. Looks cool! I wasn't aware that there is "civil" version of the MPC General Lee snapper that I built recently (see below). I really might be tempted to get one of those "blue ones" too, not least because I LOVE those Torq Thrust wheels (and they are very hard to come by over here)!
  17. A really nice Vette!
  18. Very nice result... And I could have sworn that the NZ touch was the Kiwi colored paint...
  19. Excellent result, Atin! Nice photos too... Let's quote Alex Kustov on that: "Verdict: This kit is the one about which you can say "Its perfect in every way". Its pure pleasure to assemble this one, and it builds into a very true to the original, highly detailed model straight from the box, without any additional detailing. Tamiya beats its own quality standard with this one - IMO its one of the best Tamiya models on the market today." (http://italianhorses.net/Gallery/Tamiya/Tam3602/3602.htm)
  20. Beautiful and clean build of an elegant car!
  21. Very nice build Tyrone! If I'm not mistaken, the wipers ARE molded in on all Revell '69er Camaro bodies. At least that was the case on my Z28 kit and all the other ones I checked on. If that's right, it means that Tyrone must have removed them in order to replace them with separate ones. As he probably has done with the door handles which are separate parts only in the Camaro convertible kits.
  22. Stunning work as ever, Dann! It's great that you are such an SB maniac enthusiast! There is always something to watch and learn. The body color will be... RED?
  23. Just curious, did you test-fit yet the underfloor part into the body already? On my build I couldn't believe how much material of the underfloor part I had to cut off to make it fit more or less into the body. And that body is very stubborn with its thick plastic, as you will well know...
  24. The results look convincing to my eyes, thanks for the tutorial, Matt.
