  1. I've been redoing my office for what seems like forever, and I got tired of everything being in boxes so last night I decided to pull out some of my stuff and fill up the antique display cabinet I bought last year. I guess I'm gonna need to buy another one haha I reorganized a few shelves in my living room too top shelf: my mock ups/current builds top interior shelf: mostly GMP disecasts shelf 2: survivor model shelf other than the falcon funny car shelf 3: mostly 1:64 with some other stuff mixed in shelf 4: 1:24 dubs type, mostly trucks living room shelf: mixture of stuff Now I need to finish the base for my bookshelf and get that in the office. I unfortunately don't see myself refinishing my wood floors anytime soon so I may as well display my the hot rod based art, the books and other stuff I've collected over the last 25 years
  2. great...now I want to build an axled wagon too haha
  3. looks awesome! thats the current reissue?
  4. Thats what modeling is about and it looks great! I missed out on an original recently and Im still sore about it because what I have is incomplete too haha
  5. I do it all the time...Quality fab is quality fab. I had to do it in the hot rod industry all the time. Still do when a potential customer brings me his ideas
  6. I liked the belly Pan BUT I get why you did what you did and it looks awesome!
  7. OH THATS JUST AWESOME!...Id love to wind that thing out on a road course!
  8. Ive had an old Texaco station for years but it doesn't fit enough cars. I have thought about a big display but it'd take a lot of room
  9. are you sure you dont want to lower it..a lot haha I may need to get one of these
  10. looks amazing Eric!
  11. Thanks, thse are the ones I initially bought. They also have 50 packs Im told for FAR less, I just cant find them Ill check them out, thanks. Thats why Im looking at bulk, to lower the costs.
  12. @NOBLNG I do make my own, but I like these for blocking out my custom bodywork. Plus it keeps me from having tons of sandpaper everywhere while Im working haha
  13. started roughing in the chop. comparison to an uncut body
  14. Hey everyone, Im looking to buy Squadron coarse sanding sticks in bulk since its my most used stick for rough out. Ive seen the medium in a 50 pack, but my searches have come up empty for the coarse version. The part number on it is 30501 Thanks
  15. I'm hoping to blend the roof tonight. might be time to start a build thread for it i usually see them go for 2 to 300 I saw your truck In the background of a contest photo so THANK YOU for the Inspiration
  16. clean Survivors are going for over 100 (i lost an auction on one 2 days ago in the last 20 secs) The convertible I just lost was nearly 200 (same last 20 secs) and the hardtop is nearly 400. Theyre both on my "must own" list but I cant afford to pay those kind of prices.
  17. Lindberg 32 pick up.....so inaccurate, but it's definitely a cool piece of history. I've had the Blue survivor for awhile and I don't want to change it in any way. then I ended up with the pink body as part of a parts lot I got... A few of my friends dug out their versions (both old and new builds) and it made me break out my fresh kit. The boxy back half of these trucks don't match the curvy front half so I dug out a trailer from the Revell 37 and started cutting. the Rollpan is made from the roof of a monogram model A coupe. I did a quick Bob of the rear fenders to lighten them up. I also cut the canvas top out. Next step will be the chop and then I have to decide how to blend the fenders into the "bed". After that, it's time to get a quad headlight assembly in there since this is all about a 60s custom rod.
  18. Were the custom parts in the AMT Impalas available in any other reissues etc? Ive lost out on 2 65 convertibles this week (one unbuilt and the other a VERY clean survivor), and I cant seem to find a hardtop I can afford. Ive been searching but no luck. Both times Ive been sitting there while the auction winds down with a HIGH max bid (well above what my set limit is) only to get outbid in the last minute few seconds. Really aggravating.
  19. street freaks unite! Gonna be sweet!!!!
  20. and here you told me not to worry about it...haha
