  1. haha, funny how quickly that happens. Ive had my 65 Comet for 26 years, because my father has one, he also had a 65 Falcon that was becoming our family drag car. I really dug your Falcon build.
  2. it doesnt take much, whomever built mine eliminated the front spring and left the rear stock
  3. Awesome! first thing you need to do is to get rid of the front spring, then it'll sit right haha
  4. SAME! Gives it that proper 60s era custom which I seem to be drawn too! another option is to chop the windshield and change up the proportions on the roof. The thing I dislike most is how fake the motor is haha. I do love the header exits though. Your build is one of the cleanest I've seen. Again, beautiful job!!
  5. the Japanese culture appreciation in me is really digging this! Man are you gonna piss some people off haha
  6. NICE WORK. I never got into TV cars, but Ive always liked the Monkeemobile. Ive often thought about getting one and modifying it into something more my style
  7. I went to order the 34 ford pick up and theu say they're out of stock again. frustrating.
  8. you did, you actually asked me if that would be OK when you widened the roof. thanks! there are more to come, I just haven't had time to sit down. I have however been working details out on motors, etc...The 34 pick up fpr example will have a blown Y block and belly burners. That linberg "32" I had to have as soon as I saw it. I'm gonna build another slightly more in my tastes, but that one will never be taken apart. It normally hangs out with my survivor Riv and trailer
  9. Ill do my best to get a few tomorrow. When I cleaned the model, I got the interior wet and the pipe cleaner wire rusted. Im still aggravated over it
  10. thats right haha I havent seen that movie in forever
  11. which car had the "middle finger" haha
  12. some KILLER stuff!!! Ill play along, though I dont have many survivors the Riv has a pipecleaner Interior that I ruined like an idiot when I cleaned it. the only modification I made to it was a wheel swap.. I'll eventually clean it all up.. I'm looking for 3mm pie cleaner to redo the interior. The trailer and Lindberg hot rod pick up came from the same collection.
  13. I have a thread in this forum. My favorite part of the build
  14. tonight's mock up. I ended up with this converted 3 window body and chassis, so of course I had to do something. I ended up modifying a T bed because it needed something. A friend of mine told me it looks like an old WW@ gas ration"pick up" got hot rodded. works for me!
  15. KILLER!!!
  16. Ive always wanted to build one of these as a landspeed car
  17. I really wish I could get a photo of how well the interior fits inside the body!
  18. tonight's mock up has a back story... saw a guy post on FB that he finally found one of these new in the box. I asked him if he'd be interested in selling me a pair of the headers, fenders and interior pieces. he said he'd gladly send me the pieces since he doesn't need them anymore...THIS showed up today...after I picked up my jaw, I went into harvest and mock up mode again. THE PLAN. I want to clean up one of the glue bombs and get it on the shelf. Im then gonna build one using a Revell body and nailhead, along with a pair of slicks and those chrome wheels from what I believe is an American Graffiti coupe
  19. anytime!!! Per usual, I'm really digging what you're doing!
  20. thank you! here's another 5 window (this one a drag city casting) for the mix and a 34 cabriolet I'm channeling and converting into a roadster. Thanks to @tim boydfor the idea of using the AMT 36 roadster cowl piece
  21. I use to build traditional hot rods professionally, Left the industry for various reasons. I have a "9 to 5" fabricating mostly high end stainless work, as well as my own fab shop at the house. I miss it enough where Im thinking about going back on my own and building cars again under my shop name (Chabres Hot Rod and Fabrication, or CHRF) I also started a you tube channel that Covid kind of ended for a bit because when the pandemic hit both the Mrs and I ended up working like crazy due to shortages etc. If anyones interested I can post up some photos etc sometime.
  22. Im really liking the sheen on the chassis! The whole project is coming together awesome!
  23. KILLER!!! my favorite year galaxie!
  24. SAME! this is the top of my display cabinet in my office so its neck height. I have to walk by it everytime I enter or leave my office since its the front room of our house
