Very nice looking build.? Needs a dusting though.? -
I can’t see someone paying a good buck for those…they aren’t even finished.? The trim isn’t painted or foiled. The Duster or Dart doesn’t look like it was painted at all, and half the side decal is missing.?

They are both really nice builds!? I like your earlier build especially. The altered stance and proportions are sweet! -

Thanks Carl! Thanks Chris! Thanks Bob! I don’t have the beadlocks on mine, but I think they add a finishing touch. Thanks Jim! -

Thanks Tom. I enjoyed it too. I like scratch building things, and there was a lot of that on this one. Thanks. Yes, it’s a casting I made. Thanks David. Thanks Mario. The wall is just craft paper from Michaels. -

This one is finally done. It is loosely based on my own Willys Pickup. Thanks for looking! Long slow build thread here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/156181-‘54-willys-pu/

Well I forgot a few items like a battery hold down, radiator braces, wipers and washer nozzles. I scratch built some wipers by squashing some .020” wire in my vise and inserting it into a piece of 1/16” square styrene and filing it to shape. The blades are shaped from a small chunk of .040” sheet. On my 1:1, the wipers were missing when I bought it, so I fabbed up a set from Mazda truck parts. That is why they are parked upright at the center of the windshield instead of flat. Anyways, I am calling this one done. Thanks Bob! It’s nice having a 1:1 to take measurements and other details from. Thank You Anton! Thanks Chris! The tires are from Scenes Unlimited. They make very nice stuff! -

It is a beautiful piece of work Francis….but go ahead and paint it. It certainly is not going to stand out among all the incredibly machined bits of artwork on this build. The detail and accuracy of your work just amazes me!??? -
What did you see on the road today?
NOBLNG replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Went for a cruise in the Miata today for possibly the last top down ride. Stopped for a burger in a nearby town and all these folks pulled in. -
Looking good!? I will have to try that future trick in the near future.?
-
That is looking great Steven! I like that colour on it. I think the aluminum tube trick for marker lights is even easier than the wire hoops that I used.?

Beautiful work Jim! I like the “tape-on-ruler” trick too.? And having fun on the journey is what it’s all about!? -
I don’t know if I would bid on it on e-bay or at a charity auction, but I would certainly buy a raffle ticket on it if the proceeds went to a charity.
