  1. Coil-overs. I could happily live without seeing ever another pair of those fake spindle mount wheels. Ugh.
  2. Dominators were in all the '80s Monogram Pro Stock kits. Easy enough to cut them in half, no?
  3. I thought it was going to be this; Accident damage can be repaired. That poor '63 Plymouth is ruined forever.
  4. The body is correct. 1925 was the last year for the single door body, IIRC.
  5. The Revell '69 is a great kit. For a '67-'68, I'd take the AMT '68 over Revell's new '67. The AMT might be a little inaccurate, but it can be fixed. The Revell '67 just looks dumpy and the grille is hopeless.
  6. If I buy one at all, it will be to build this, so the firewall is neither here nor there.
  7. Looks like they tooled up a '66 - '67 firewall. Here's the Moebius compared with an AMT '67 Comet built by forum member tomsheehy. I hope Tom doesn't mind - it was the first decent photo I found of the AMT '67.
  8. Nice, but the valve covers are upside down.
  9. As the man said, those are about the best there is in a kit. If you need more detail, better get scratch building or 3D printing.
  10. You already have the correct transmission. The M22 and M21 used the same cases, differences were internal.
  11. Very nice work. Since you're going to this trouble, you might want to fix the valve covers. Revellogram moulded them with 8 bolts, but they should have 7 (only 3 on the intake side). That mistake was carried over to the 1/25 '68 L88.
  12. New tanks look good for length, but too large in diameter? In the still photos oft he real truck, looks like they only come to about the middle of the air tanks.
  13. Some constructive criticism: only the K-member should be black. The frame rails are part of the uni-body and should be primer/body colour as you did correctly at the rear. I see a lot of people painting them black as if it's a removable Camaro or Firebird subframe. Nice clean build otherwise.
  14. I'm all for a stock '32 that I can cut up the trad way. Revell's stock '40 is certainly a better base for a period build than the street rod issues, but I can't see them issuing a stock one, somehow.. Some of these have already been mentioned, but here's my wish list: 1. I-beam front axle, ideally with in-scale kingpin boss and spindle detail, rather than an indistinct block. Not drilled, not a wacky 7" drop, just a nice 4" dropped beam. 2. A decent '32 frame with a stock K-member and no floorboard moulded to it. Not fussed about '35-'40 or modern X-members. 3. A buggy sprung rear, ideally with a choice of rear crossmembers: '32 and stock spring, or a model A crossmember and spring to clear a quickchange, or even a modified '40 crossmember to get it low. 4. Early Ford banjo and/or quickchange rear. Would be nice to have optional split '36 style rear bones for an open drive quickchange conversion. 5. Flathead with an early Ford 3 speed trans. Maybe an early OHV option with an appropriate period trans e.g. a LaSalle, Packard or Buick 3 spd. No modern transmissions. 6. A stock firewall. 7. Period tyres. 8. Wheels - a decent set of K-H wires would be nice to have. I'd also be very happy with chrome reversed '49-'51 Merc wheels, or a representation of reversed Ford centre/Buick outer wheels. Some of the '60s Revell kits had that nice tapered outer, but missing the centre details. Apart from the wires, none of the above should be that difficult, should it?
  15. I had that one. It didn't have any cardboard drive-in stuff, only the ancient Revell '59, with slightly oversize Olds Fiesta wheel covers and skinny Monogram tyres. It is a fiddly kit to build and the body sides in mine were warped, which ultimately led to it becoming a parts kit.
  16. Nice photos, thanks for posting those. It's a '63, by the way - different grille and wraparound windshield.
  17. Yes, the AMT '55 sedan body is the best starting point. The old Monogram is a hardtop, so wrong roof to being with, and the proportions are way off in any case. I have two stalled TLB replicas, one 1/25 using the AMT sedan and one 1/16 using the hardtop with a lot of mods. I'll get back to those one day.
  18. I think you're right, that vertical rib for an engine mount is characteristic of those. I was thinking 1/25 for some reason.
  19. Edit - thought it was MPC, but the ones I'm thinking of had separate oil pans. Could be from the AMT '70 Challenger? Driver's side valve cover is upside down, as already mentioned.
  20. Neither is exactly right; the driver's side mount should be around the same height as on the Moebius block, but rearward of the oil pump. The AMT block looks more correct in terms of the chamfers on the corners, but easy to fix on the Moebius. Good job on the K member. Looking forward to seeing this progress.
  21. Good grief, the board software censors d-a-m-n? Unbelievable.
  22. I wish it were real. It's about time we had a belly tank and the '32 is a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH sight more appealing than that Rat Roaster abortion. I'm not much into buses, but I'd go for a Scenicruiser.
  23. That's nice. I've been looking for a reasonably priced '63 hardtop for a dog's age, but no joy.
