  1. Very cool. I never liked the 300 grille on those either. Nice paint, deceptively simple.
  2. Yeah, I don't like the new tool at all - too big and blobby. I'll take the old tool, wrong side trim or not. I still like the old Revell '57 too, apart from the clunky front bumper and droopy doors.
  3. No such thing as a dumb question. Yes, 318hp 8V71.
  4. Apparently, somewhere around 40% of Americans believe that the Earth is only 6000 years old. To me, that's more worrying than a handful of fruitcakes who think the world is flat.
  5. Pic 3, third one down is a '62 Tempest grille. The part below that looks familiar...first thought was Imperial, but I need to check.
  6. I liked the first photo. Stick a flathead in it and done.:)
  7. IPMS over here is largely military and aircraft builders who look down their noses at people who build cars and trucks. Sweeping generalisation, but they seem to have little interest in cars, much less hot rods.
  8. So am I, but I still got 100% and 96%. Always get confused with '61 and '62 Cadillacs. I'd probably do worse on British cars TBH.
  9. Quick and dirty calculation: about 190" (front axle to centre of bogie). That's roughly scaled from the tyres, assuming ~42" OD.
  10. The tapered hood looks like the most challenging problem. You could fill the back of the character line/crease at the cowl area then file & sand it to shape. The '60-'63 cabs had wraparound windshields; '64-'66 had the same style as your Revell pickup cab, so you could just say it's a later model. Otherwise, the AMT '60 Chevy cab could work.

    68 GTX

Different grille and rear end treatment between '68 and '69 too. Nice build though.
  12. I think there have been many more Mustangs and Camaros produced in the eight-and-a-half years between that post and your reply, so it would seem there's still a market for them.
  13. The one based on the Surf Woody was called the Sand Hog. I have one.
  14. Not a gasser anyway, it's another wannabe nose-high street freak, Faux spindle mounts as well. Ugh.
  15. I don't see the problem, but then I always do it manually: type "[ img ]", paste URL, then type "[ img ]" (without spaces).
  16. Looking good. I like the '68s, but I think I'll also have to settle for a resin body.
  17. Much better. Parking lights are a little wide still, as mentioned above. Now, if you could do this, why couldn't Moebius?
  18. There will always be those with an eye for proportion who are driven up the wall by inaccuracies, as there will be those who are happy to stick SBC headers on a Hemi... and never the twain shall meet. Niggles aside, I'll be buying several of these. It's about time we had a proper I beam and split wishbones.
