Very nice job on a tough kit. Good choice on the color combo...made a nice model.

Looks like it goes fast just sitting there...nice job

This is a great kit. Been on a painting spree and dug mine out and painted it. Its Alclad Holomatic spectral Chrome over Tamiya TS-55 blue. Be cool to see yours finished. I have to wait until the paint cures. Yellow car with the red fog on the bottom is Tamiya's new Mazda

Sweet build, like the attention to detail.

Good looking build....it really shines

Nice job Rex...I built all of those IMC kits way back when. They were great kits in their time but difficult to get all the panels to fit. You did well.

Yaaahh...someone else is building Formula 1. Nice job on a tough kit. You did well.

Dan....glad you got the reference. Knew you worked at a Porsche dealership from a previous post. Whenever we saw a new Porsche Boxster all we could say was Holy Moly. In the commercial its actually holy schmolly but we always just shortened it. Boxster owners got a little tired of it. I have a good modeling buddy who still owns one and he had to be reminded of this only just recently. I have at least 5 purple Porsches in my collection so your choice of colour was never in question.

Impressive build. I have this kit too and have been avoiding it. It needs to go in my Chaparral collection. Thanks for letting me know that it can be done.

Dan,,,my comment wasn't about the colour....which I happen to like a lot BTW. It refers to one of the best commercials Porsche ever put on TV about the Porsche Boxster. It created quite a stir. The public loved it, Porsche Boxster owners...not so much. It can be found on Youtube under " Porsche Commercial Awake". Youtube won't let me post a link here.

Kurt....absolutely fantastic build......enjoyed every bit of it and picked up a few tips along the way. Thanks so much for going the extra yard and posting all the updates. -
That is a very cool interpretation on that old kit. Like the paint. When you wait 25yrs you are pretty sure it is cured.

Very Nice, like the colour scheme and the photography is great. You have learned well.

Nice job, different liveries, cool stable of cars.

My quest for this Exoto Chaparral 2E has finally ended. Took possession of this beauty today. There are many working features on this model and i will include as much as I can under the pictures. This is one of the last pieces I was seeking for my Chaparral collection. I still have to build the Fisher version of this car and now I am anxious to get to it. Thanks for looking. I bought this version in the prototype form with no numbers or sponsers. I may add them later if I can find a good sheet. This is my favorite angle of this car showing the business end. Note all the screens and exterior detail, they didn't miss too much/. Side veiw, the wing strut is detachable and adjustable. Many working features on this car, inclusding, steering throught the wheel. working suspension, opening doors and removable panel and setabelts. All done to perfection. Some fo the incredible detail on this diecast. Not too many lines or detail missing here. Not too many people know the Chaparral 2E had two wings. The second is visible at the bottom of the picture. Both wings were activated by the same pedal. the front wing is hidden under the front body panel. More incredible detail in the business end, Luv those exhaust pipes. I have checked some of this against the actual car and most of it is spot on. Interior detail is also accurate with period correct seat belts. See some more of the front weing detail at the top of the pic. The whole collection of 2E's. Front #65 is my re-visitied IMC kit in 1/24. The #66 in front is an LS kit with added wheels and details. Not a very good kit and it is actually supposed tobe a 2G, In the back is my old IMC kit that was done circa 1965.
