  1. Thanx Carl! It's from my 66 Malibu sedan I posted a while back.
  2. That's how I do it. Also, I never measure in mms. Just multiply my measurement by 25 and subtract 1.5".
  3. No. All I have is a couple finished and installed.
  4. Maybe the Monogram '37 Ford convertible?
  5. The Phantom Vicky has a solid rear axle from a Mustang along with the control arms.
  6. Me neither. Years ago, I bought an AMT/Ertl IH Transtar Eagle II, lowboy trailer, John Deere 4430 and a 510 backhoe. Haven't touched a single one of them.
  7. Just finished this one up. It's just a simple build for fun. No details with a few changes made (wheels, tires, lowered and cowl hood. The idea for it was to build a Beretta that a pony car lover wouldn't mind driving. Sort of a "what if Chevy had replaced the Camaro with the Beretta?" While this model was way out of my norm, it was a pretty fun little model to build. The only issues I encountered were the fitment of the glass after I had eliminated the runners and the fit of the down pipe from the optional turbo to the exhaust. Other than that, it went pretty well. I'm satisfied with how it turned out. Definitely something different and I always like to change things up. It'll fit right in with my Escort and Pinto models. Paint is Tamiya Chrome Yellow and clear. Thanx for checking it out!
  8. I've done it. But, not in a Mopar. You basically add styrene to the sides and back. Split it down the center on the seat back, fill in the resulting holes and add brackets to the bottom to raise it off the floorpan.
  9. You might to post this in the resin & 3D aftermarket section. I think you'll have a better chance at getting a response. Also check with Rookie Resin.

Thanx to everyone for all of the great comments! I appreciate it!
  11. Excellent work as always John!! I'm always impressed with how you take a basic, simple kit and turn it into something like this! Well done! Now, get back to work that '60 F-100!!
  12. Getting close to getting this thing done! I'll be almost as happy to get this project done as I was when I traded the full scale car! I have the interior done and ready to install. The hounds tooth decals wouldn't cooperate. So, I just sanded through to the detail on the inserts and door panels. The chassis plate is in paint. I'm really not going to like how I'm going to have to do the final assembly on this thing! Because of the snap in nature of the chassis plate, I'm going to have to install it bare and then add the exhaust, rear suspension, engine cradle, front suspension and engine. I think that's going to be a pain! I've got most of the trim painted on the body and I'm thinking that doing the mid belt molding in black will be too much black. So, I'm thinking that I'll do the center raised portion with matte aluminum foil. We'll see.
  13. Now that is one cool looking Machine! Love the pearl white paint! The wheels and tires makes the model! Nice work!
  14. I watched about half of an episode and couldn't stand anymore. The guy is a hack. I would hate to see what his abominations look like in person.
  15. OK. I see that now. The Monogram kit always had the incorrect 4wd wheels. That's what caught my eye. Looks like if one wants the 2wd, they'll have to get an original Monogram kit. No, I didn't Carl. I just bought it for the wheels. But, I didn't like them and sold it to a friend that wanted it more than I did.
  16. Are you sure this is a reboxed Syclone? To me, it looks like a reissue of the Monogram kit. I had the "Waverider" and it was 2wd. Pretty sure the other stock and low rider versions were as well. But, I never owned any of those.

Yeah, it made a big difference in the looks of it. The kit piece wasn't even close in the headlights area.

Thanx! I can't recall the roof having a lip at the tulip panel area. I just remember that I sanded it until I got a good fit front and rear before gluing and that I had to rework the drip rails slightly.
  19. Very realistic looking especially in the outdoor setting! Excellent photography as well! Nice work!
  20. Very nice!! Killer paint job!
  21. I gotta agree with you Mike! This is the good one! Very nice restoration!
  22. Nice looking little Datsun! Makes me want to build one!

Another old build. Maybe ten years ago? It's the old AMT kit from way back. It got started when someone on a board mentioned how hard it was to get the roof on. So, I thought I would give a try and see for myself. I had to do a little sanding here and there to get it to fit right. But, I didn't have a problem with it. With the roof done, I suddenly had an interest in building it. The chrome was completely shot. So, I ordered new front and rear bumpers from the Modelhaus. Since the chassis wasn't much, I decided to build it as a curbside and concentrate on the body and interior. The interior got modified bucket seats and the rear seat was modified to match. Painted with Testors Fabric Tan. The body was painted with Tamiya Light Gun Metal, Metallic Red and the strobe stripe was done with Testors Fiery Orange. The wheels were made with a set of Pegasus sleeves with the centers from an AMT '69 Firebird. I always meant to build the '67 in a similar style. But, never have gotten around to it. Thanx for checking it out!
  25. Thanx! I look forward to seeing that! I have a mint '62 promo in the stash. But, I haven't decided how I want to build it yet. I already have a '61 and '62 built.
