  1. I do a lot of splicing and adding styrene to edges for better fit. I always use Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. You can't beat it IMO.

Thanx David! I'm glad it brought back fond memories for you! My brother had a '79 that he had guy do some work on the head, new or maybe it was a reground cam, new carburetor and a header. He said it was like he dropped a second motor in it! He totalled it before I got a ride in it. He was drinking and showing a buddy what it would do and lost it.
  3. My bad. I don't know why I had '36 on the brain. One suggestion for the current wheels: cut the center loose from the rim, narrow it and glue it back to the center to give it less offset.
  4. The Bushwhacker version has it on the box and instructions. So, there's a chance.
  5. Cool looking little Datsun! I was expecting to see a set of stretch walls. But, those wheels and tires work really well!
  6. I like the new wheels Dennis! You mentioned the Corvette IRS from the AMT '36 five window street rod. I used the '36 five window (maroon and Silver on the box) to build my pickup and it didn't have the IRS. Was there a different issue that came with the IRS?
  7. I can do everything but resize a photo on my tablet. It's a Samsung Galaxy 6. Downloading an app just for an avatar isn't worth it to me. I may try it with my laptop sometime.
  8. I'm thinking the JPS Mustang has those wheels. I have it. So, I can check. Edit: It has them. But no lugs. Just the single large center nut.
  9. I appreciate it Peter! But, as I told Les (who offered to resize a photo for me), an avatar isn't a big deal to me. I just thought I'd give it another try.
  10. Agree with David. They are great kits. I've built two. Neither one out of the box.
  11. What about taking a rear seat and converting it to a front bench? That's how I did this bench seat for a Malibu.
  12. They're usually the same color as the carpet.
  13. That's a cool looking little truck! I can't help but wonder what one would look like with a set of wide stretch walls.
  14. Sharp looking GT-R Tony! I really like the color on the wheels! Did you paint them or did they come in that color? Nice work!
  15. They're both sharp! But, I really like the white '66! The shortened bed really improves the proportions and makes it more balanced. Nice and subtle touch on both! How long did it take to do it on the full scale car?
  16. I don't have an IPhone or cell of any type. I carried one for years. Once I got away from it, I vowed never again. Haven't had one since '08.
  17. When I need to do touch up, I spray the color in the cap and brush it on.

Thanx Carl! My sister had an earlier Pinto in this color combo. It had the big and little slotted mags along with a set of side pipes.

Thanx David! It's mostly the chassis and underhood that's lacking. But, it was typical AMT.

Thanx! Get the MPC kit when you do. It's all around a better kit for around the same money.
  21. I haven't had a PC for over three years. Don't like the wires mess and the room it took up. I have a laptop that I never use and a little seven inch tablet that I always use. I take my photos with it, lay it next to the bench and I can stick it in my back pocket. I may be able to do something with the photo on my laptop.
  22. No. My photo is both in my Flickr account and on my tablet. I can't resize on either.
  23. It's not hopeless. I think if one drilled out the headlights and replaced them with reflectors and lenses (needs to be done anyway) and took some height off the front of the hood, it would become passable. Better anyway.
  24. Can't do a straight upload either. Can't resize the photo. This is the only forum I've had an issue with using a URL for an avatar.
