  1. Yup, you read that topic right, I stuffed a mid engine Testarossa motor into a 69 Corvair. This was an AMT kit for the Corvair and a Monogram Testarossa for the engine/sub frame. While they are different scales, it actually turned out looking pretty good. There is a full build video on my YouTube channel. Check it out if you want to see how it was done. Thanks for looking.
  2. Great looking mini truck. You did a great job with this kit!
  3. Tamiya's XF-4 Yellow Green, lightly thinned and airbrushed. I love the results.
  4. As said by everyone else, that weathering is beyond amazing. The poor sunny brought a tear to my eye to see it in that condition.
  5. Love how this looks in this color and this ride height. Perfect.
  6. Wow. Slammed. Love the ride height.
  7. This is great! I love these old Doyusha kits. I have a few of them on the way but not this cherry unfortunately. Agree the scale seems a little off but likely will scale OK with aoshima's skylines and other battery powered kits of the time. All good, just for the opportunity to get some of these amazing classics in kit form.
  8. Thanks for saying! Appreciate it!
  9. Those rear seats! I can't imagine they would be comfortable with those wheel well bulges right in the middle of them! Everything is looking amazing. Always thought the front of these looked a little odd but the colors are just right and make it look awesome so far. Hurry and finish....please? ??
  10. That is awesome. I would have liked playing this car in a game. Haha. Thank you!!
  11. I like how the top turned out. Looks legit.
  12. It is the kit you are thinking. I like the flairs but I do kind of prefer the more stock look with a low stance. I will for sure be getting more of these types of kits and building them all kinds of ways. I like the 4-door a lot, on all the old Skyline models and I am pretty sure I will be building more of various years and styles. Lucky to have had any 1:1 stuff. I only had a lowly 710 estate. ? Thank you. Thanks for saying. I am quite happy with the outcome myself! Thanks. I wanted something unique for color but not unrealistic either. I think it ended up just right! ?
  13. I watched your video and enjoyed it. This is such a great kit and yours turned out quite nice.
  14. OMG, I am in awe! This is beautiful.
  15. Wow, love this. Sounds like a lot of work but can't argue with the end results.
  16. I really really like this.
  17. Thanks for saying! Thank you, one of my favorites to date.
  18. Thanks! Thank you. I am pretty happy with the outcome myself! Thanks. Thanks for saying Dann, the engine was so small and had some pretty lacking detail but then it is a kit from the 70's I believe so understandable. I do like how it ended up tho!
  19. Thanks for saying. Thank you! Agreed, common kit but no one seems to build it. Thank you. Thanks! haha, you should finish! It is actually a pretty fun build. Thanks, hope you do end up building it. Worth the efforts for sure, goes together quite well. Thanks, I likely won't give this one away any time soon myself. I love how it looks on the shelf. Thank you. Thanks for saying Dann! Hey Kurt, thanks for saying! The purple looks pretty great really with the white interior. Funny thing is I have the Monogram version as well. I plan on building it soon also, just for the difference in construction but I am sure the Tamiya one went together a lot better than the Monogram one will. Yeah, still see these sold all over the place but rarely see them built. Can you imagine how many were manufactured between Tamiya and Monogram? Just a ton!
  20. I like this a lot!
  21. The lighting is outstanding on this. I want to build one as well but have no where near that level of patience and skill! Kudos.
  22. That one is pretty cool. The back end looks a lot like a first gen prelude! Final result is awesome. I love these old aoshima kits.
  23. love it.
  24. I love this. Looks awesome.
  25. Nice to know. I have been looking at this and the Toyota versions by Fujimi for a while now but have not bit the bullet yet. I figured the Tamiya one was better but was not sure by how much. Thanks for the info. And thanks to the initial poster as well for the photos. The hard work paid off and this looks pretty great.
