  1. Thank you so much for sharing. You have some beautiful builds.
  2. It used to happen on occasion. Once I inventoried all my stash on Scalemates.com it ended. When I am at HL or my LHS, I can quickly log in to Scalemates and check my stash. Since they have a very high percentage of all the boxart for reissues it helps me limit or expand my choices on ebay too. I have obtained 95% of the kits I want so now my hobby budget has switched to support items such as paint booth, airbrushes and recently a mini-lathe.
  3. After studying my leftover Freightliner pieces, I have decided that they might be too much of a hassle to make a sleeper from them. However, this build will have a sleeper. Sam just came through for me and has put a parts box 36" sleeper in the mail. So looking forward to making this happen. I need to study if I can use the Freightliner pieces to maybe round off the leading edge of the ramp bed. We shall see. Off to the bench I go!
  4. Way to go (fast)! Nice themed set.
  5. Beautiful builds. My 1st 1:1 car was a Chevelle in that color. I only had it two weeks before it was totaled. The Schwinn is awesome. When I was a kid in the late 60's early 70's that was the bike I wanted.
  6. I like PayPal because payments can be made with out putting my card info into another database that can be hacked. It is also convenient for conducting hassle free payments with fellow modelers.
  7. I have a few of the 'opening door' Tri-five Chevy's in my stash. Everytime I open the box(es), my skillset gets very intimidated.
  8. You should be very pleased with your productivity. Nice builds.
  9. Gorgeous! I want to build mine very similarly but with the Catalina grille.
  10. Kudos on the engineering and fabrication/crafting.

  12. Good to know. I will be brave then.
  13. I remember those uniquely panted rims when I was at your house sorting truck parts. I enjoyed the visit.
  14. I like most all of them. I noticed you have a tires with different tread patterns. Could you share which kits/vendors they were sourced from?
  15. Thank you. I am looking forward to more build this year.
  16. Patrick, It does not appear to be crazing. After I scrubbed the paint job with a toothbrush, it is fairly flat. Not as rough as orange peel which is why I have not dunked it in the purple lake. The biggest issue is that I am sure I thinned the paint too much before spraying. It am hoping for some confidence in knowing that clear will take care of it before I put all the effort into detailing the body.
  17. The mock ups look pretty cool.
  18. I do have a moisture trap and NOTHING shows up in it. I most always wait until the humidity is below 45% to paint.
  19. Sam do you monitor humidity when you paint? I have had some experiences with a nice glossy paint job "blushing" flat when drying in high humidity. I hear a number of members mention food dehydrators. My problem is I am simply running out of space for additional hobby equipment. My new mini lathe has maxed me out.
  20. I have been slowly detailing the body. I added some ignition wires to the Boss 429. Trying to keep motivated on this one because it is the only one of 4 Mustangs that the paint job came out satisfactory.
  21. Got the interior done. Have not been motivated to BMF the body. Still need to paint the hood. Put the project on hold again. Got the fire extinguisher for the console from my friend Tim.
  22. Got the interior completed. Still need to paint the hood. Waiting for dryer weather. It is winter in western Oregon. It might be awhile.
  23. Finally got the body clean by alternating between brake fluid and Super Clean. Unfortunately the weather around here is not permitting me to paint it. So in the box it goes until spring.
  24. Deflashed and glued both frames with every other cross member in preparation for paint.
