  1. Mark, Thanks. I tried to make it realistic as I could with the materials I had.
  2. FINALLY!! the chassis is done! I have never put so many hours into ANY model before this one. For those of you who have built this kit, I am sure you will notice that I added a few mods. I think it turned out pretty nice.
  3. Welcome! I always like the bright yellow livery of the Pennzoil TF dragster.
  4. Thank you for sharing. My favorites are the black '63 Nomad hatchback, the white '58 Edsel Ranchero and the blue '70 Superbee.
  5. After seeing the awesome builds Steve produces. I am changing to his method.
  6. I look forward to seeing it.
  7. Neat trick!!
  8. I am a big fan of caramel. My favorite snack is Little Debbie Turtle Brownies. I am a diet controlled diabetic so I can only have ONE a day.
  9. Very nice finishes on the exterior.
  10. In a semi-related subject, a former co-work told me that when he worked on a fishing boat in Alaska, they were bringing in a load of supplies for their fishing village. Included were new car tires and cases of styrofoam cups in the forward hold. He said when they pulled into port and started unloading, the solvents from the new tires melted all the cups into goo.

    62 Belair

Very nice indeed. Love the detail on the carb linkage, fuel lines and air cleaners.
  12. Oregon has gone into essential personnel only mode. My boss is trying to figure out if we can still work since we provide emergency repair services for refrigerated food storage. He does want to keep us away from crowds if we are sent out. He says the company has plenty of cash reserves and accounts payable to stay afloat. Hopefully I do too. If I am told to stay home, I have an AWESOME WIFE and plenty of models to build.
  13. Crossed a milestone yesterday. The interior tub is officially installed in the cab. It took quite a bit of finesse to stuff it in. Now I am slowly working on all the chrome bits that go on the cab. The side mirrors are driving me crazy. I am building 4 for my 2 Freightliners but it seems they all have to take turns falling apart when handled. I haven't even gotten to the turn signals or CB antennas yet. GRRRR!
  14. I recommend it highly. It is semi-gloss but it leans a bit towards gloss. It lays down pretty well if you don't stroke it too much. It also covers pretty well. I have had black Sharpie fade to purple over time even without sunlight.
  15. Model Master (jar) Black Chrome Trim 2735
  16. That artist's rendering looks pretty sweet. I would like to see you succeed.
  17. Nice work so far. Following.
  18. Ditto on the engine bay. The detail is so precise it almost looks like you photoshopped a real one into the photo.
  19. Very pretty Cuda. Thanks for sharing.
  20. I like it. Very nice build.
  21. Nice job on all the chrome trim and wheel detail.
  22. Nice build. I like the color. I hate to tell you this but the tail panel should have been installed from the inside.
  23. Very nice results. The paint choices during that era make for some colorful options.
  24. I like both of them. It is great you got 2 for the price of one in half the time too.
