  1. In the 1:1 world, you could even write notes on it as to what dimensions and/or color layers the note is for. Just keep the wind away from them.
  2. I am glad you got it to fit for you. I have tried to get better at test fitting as well. Though on occasion I have had to do some trimming on already painted parts. My problem is, while I will take the time to clean up a body prior to paint, I can't wait to see it in color ASAP. Some good news in the hobby is that we no longer have to live with boogered bumpers thanks to the available "chromes" out there.
  3. Do any of the common 1/25 KW kits have the above listed suspensions and which ones?
  4. Please clarify which suspension is correct for each kit. W923 has: W925 has: K123 has: K125? has: My intent is to swap parts for correctness as I have a number of KW kits to build.
  5. My 1st? I have no idea. It would have been offered around 1968 and likely an MPC kit. I am pretty sure it met its demise via firecrackers. As a marginally supervised child, my 1st dozen kits were scattered in this manner.
  6. Nice ElCo. The wheels look like Hurst mags. Did they come with the kit?
  7. It has been awhile since I used Duplicolor. When I got blushing. I just recoated it later or simply clearcoated over it.
  8. The sticky portion from a Post-It note would work well for this. Very UNLIKELY it would bother the chrome.
  9. I am a big fan of two tone paint jobs whether contrasting or complimentary. I have the Fairlane 500, the Del Rio Ranch wagon, the Custom and the Ranchero Street Machine. I am following to see how yours comes together.
  10. That sounds MUCH less messy. Where do you get the stuff?
  11. I made my own with my inkjet printer and decal paper. I made the Rocket 455 decal too (transparent laid over BMF).
  12. As Steve stated. It is personal preference. I clear after decals and foil. That way they stay down with handling. Some solvent based clears can wrinkle decals. That is why my 69 ZL-1 has never been taken to a show.?
  13. I have had those blue dot tail lights on two different Grand Prixs. I got them from JC Whitney mail order in the late 80's. The car in the pics has a scratch built LED array inside with 4 blue LEDs behind every blue dot.
  14. That turned out WAY COOL!. Did you use diodes for the fuel filters?
  15. Very nicely done. Great color. I did not know you could get A/C on Six-pack engines. What are your ignition wire looms made from? Photo-etch?
  16. I concur. The 69 Olds 442 chassis is an excellent piece for its level of detail.
  17. You would be referring to this issue.
  18. Those door panels are D**n impressive. The fit, the finish the crispness. Amazing work.
  19. While I do have the 1994 release in my stash, I am glad to see it come out. Especially the big decal sheet.
  20. OK. I misunderstood you. You did not mean that there were only 3 choices total for a Grand Prix, just that there was only 3 recommended choices with Irish Mist paint.
  21. There were actually more color choices on the Grand Prix than any other model.
  22. That is a nice decal scheme. You could easily change it to 7up or Ginger Ale.
  23. I do not know if it has been mentioned, but rain gutters above the windows with or without trim. They allow you to drive at speed with the windows down. Modern cars and their slippery shapes let the the wind buffet your ear drums. It is so unpleasant, you roll the windows up.
  24. Good luck on your build. I have the Nicky kit to get to when I am in a Camaro mood.
  25. Nice GP. I am slowly working on one as well. What kit did that intake come from? What was your technique to do the tail lights?
