  1. Made forward progress on an IH 4070. Got cab and a whole bunch of small parts painted. Also made progress on an AMT Great Dane reefer trailer. Got suspension together and slapped a coat of primer on it.
  2. Now that is different. Some nice scratch building. My first thought was that is way too clean for a CF truck. Did you have to make the tire chains or are they available through aftermarket? Good work all around.
  3. Way cool. I had forgotten all about this kit. I butchered one of these back in the early 70s myself. But like the rest of my models from back then it got blown apart with fireworks. Maybe they still have the tooling for this and we could be fortunate enough to have another go at it.
  4. Looks nice. these AMT truck kits all have their quirks but the do build up well.
  5. Way cool. There are 4WD vehicles like this all over the Colorado mountains. Just needs chains on all 4 tires and it's all set.
  6. Looks good. This is a nice kit overall. I have one in the works right now. Now it needs a trailer.
  7. Nothing wrong with that. That is not that easy, you captured that 70s workhorse look. I'm with you on the instruction sheets in AMT truck kits. They shoulda called it a suggestion sheet.
  8. Too cool. Rust not over done. Barn looks great also.
  9. Now that's a big butt. Beautiful work there.
  10. That came out nice. Love the colors, something different from the usual red/black/ orange/yellow. Well done.
  11. Beautiful parade float there? I found one of these at Hobby Lobby a few years back in the clearance corner for $5. I couldn't leave it behind for that price. Figured I could use it for parts but after seeing several of these built on this board I have been rethinking that. It's gonna find its way to my bench sooner or later.
  12. Beautiful box art build. I have a couple of these laying around, that I'll get to one of these days, or years.
  13. Good looking bus. Well done.
  14. Very nice. There is something about a big silver truck. These Revell snappers are nice kits.
  15. Thanks Dan, yep that is melting snow. We had anywhere from 2 to 10 in. this week depending where you were, -10F a couple nights ago. Still have the snowy months ahead of us. Oh boy.....
  16. Just finished this up a week or so ago. My local Hobbytown started carrying Revell paint so gave it a shot....will have to try it a few more times to see if I like it or not. First impression is good. Good kit overall, just have to be so careful with all that chrome. I found that those blue nitrile gloves work well for not getting fingerprints/scratches on it. Trouble is with gloves you can't tell when you get a bit of glue on your finger. Box stock except for alcoas and a decal sheet from Model Truckin. I built that cabover Pete 6 or 7 years ago, figured since it's blue I'll just use it for a tractor. I think they make a good pair. Anyway, thanks for looking and comments/critiques welcome. Later, Doug.
  17. Great job all around, big block is a nice touch.
  18. Very nice. Looks to have stayed really clean all these years, looks like its been kept in a case.
  19. One of these would look great under that upcoming garbage packer.
  20. I never realized they had this. Looks like I missed out.
  21. Very nice. Its got that used but not abused look.
  22. Very nice. Definitely something different. I woulda never thought of building something like this.
