  1. That came out nice. Love the colors, something different from the usual red/black/ orange/yellow. Well done.
  2. Beautiful parade float there? I found one of these at Hobby Lobby a few years back in the clearance corner for $5. I couldn't leave it behind for that price. Figured I could use it for parts but after seeing several of these built on this board I have been rethinking that. It's gonna find its way to my bench sooner or later.
  3. Beautiful box art build. I have a couple of these laying around, that I'll get to one of these days, or years.
  4. Good looking bus. Well done.
  5. Very nice. There is something about a big silver truck. These Revell snappers are nice kits.
  6. Thanks Dan, yep that is melting snow. We had anywhere from 2 to 10 in. this week depending where you were, -10F a couple nights ago. Still have the snowy months ahead of us. Oh boy.....
  7. Just finished this up a week or so ago. My local Hobbytown started carrying Revell paint so gave it a shot....will have to try it a few more times to see if I like it or not. First impression is good. Good kit overall, just have to be so careful with all that chrome. I found that those blue nitrile gloves work well for not getting fingerprints/scratches on it. Trouble is with gloves you can't tell when you get a bit of glue on your finger. Box stock except for alcoas and a decal sheet from Model Truckin. I built that cabover Pete 6 or 7 years ago, figured since it's blue I'll just use it for a tractor. I think they make a good pair. Anyway, thanks for looking and comments/critiques welcome. Later, Doug.
  8. Great job all around, big block is a nice touch.
  9. Very nice. Looks to have stayed really clean all these years, looks like its been kept in a case.
  10. One of these would look great under that upcoming garbage packer.
  11. I never realized they had this. Looks like I missed out.
  12. Very nice. Its got that used but not abused look.
  13. Very nice. Definitely something different. I woulda never thought of building something like this.
  14. Nice. Now it looks like a proper CF truck. I remember they used to have the grubbiest trucks on the road.
  15. Too cool. Great use of a defective kit. I gotta try that sometime. All that's missing is some bullet holes?
  16. Very nice. Looks factory fresh. That white stuff in background looks strange. Haven't seen that around these parts since April.
  17. You might check a pet supply store for a small fish tank. I picked up a couple at a Petco. I think they were $14USD ea. You can put a few models in one. It could be turned upside down and put on shelf or make a lid of some sort. I am always trying to find a good solution for this situation also.
  18. That's mad skills right there. A challenge is fun once in a while. Nice jewel out of that pile of junk.
  19. 61 Ford Starliner. I like all the Galaxies but this is my favorite.
  20. Thanks Bob. I put 2 light coats on then 1 "full wet coat" I just polished it out, paint was a bit thick already. To me, every paint job is an experiment.
  21. Another Revell snap Raptor. This is a very nice kit. I finished it in early Nov. Just now getting around to posting it up here. Spray bombed with Rustoleum Cherry red, color sanded with 1500 and polished. My only gripe with this kit is that I wish it had decals instead of the thick shiny stickers. It's not perfect but I like how it came out. Thinking about getting another one and make it look like its been around the block and thru the woods several times. Thanks for lookin'.
  22. Superb job all around. No one can say they didn't see that coming at them. It really stands out.
  23. That turned out nice. There's just something about a big purple truck.
