  1. You could contact Scalefinishes, they would know if its metallic. The Lincoln Mark III was the best looking of all the Marks, its my favorite anyway. Too bad this was never kitted.
  2. That's in great shape especially for a midwest car. I had an 86 G.M several years back, my sister found it at a garage sale, they were giving it away. The motor was blown, but car was in great shape otherwise, except the vinyl top looked like alligator skin. So a used motor and new top and I had a nice cruiser.
  3. Very nice. This is the best looking F250 conversion I have seen here, you got the front axle centered in the wheel opening. Makes a big difference. Weathering looks nice. You might want to get a bungee cord over that battery so it won't end up in the fan?
  4. Looks great. I have one of these in the pile, gonna build it one of these days, or maybe years....
  5. Too cool. I never woulda thought of building one of these. Very unique subject, I remember seeing these searchlights all over back in the 60s and 70s. Superb job all around.
  6. Yep. Bad weekend around Denver. The view out my back door. There is a patio somewhere there. I mounted a yardstick on the picnic table yesterday. Gonna take this a bit to melt.
  7. That looks nice. Maybe you could fill it with lead and make it weigh a scale 500 pounds haha. They were unreal heavy.
  8. I'm with you on the Camaro tail lights. And the wagon wheels/no profile tires on a muscle car don't make it. Guess I'm old school not to mention just plain gettin' old.
  9. Great job there. One of these days I'll get up the nerve to try a resin build.
  10. Great job. Captured that used but not abused look. There is nothing cooler than an old Ford truck.
  11. Looks nice. I never knew there was a 70 Torino pace car.
  12. Great job. Looks factory fresh. The 57 Ford is one of my favorite cars, would love to have a 1:1 of these in the garage.
  13. That came out very nice. Nice paint work along with all the minor details. Good photography also. You need some pics out in the sunlight, that color would really pop.
  14. All are very nice. Good to see that Shelby in something other than black.
  15. Went from this. To this. I finally had enough of rooting through that tool box to find whatever Evergreen strip I needed. Picked up a fir strip and some cup hooks from Home Depot. Couple hours later and I can see what I have here. Should make things much easier.
  16. Now that's something you don't see every day. Great work all around.
  17. Looks like you haven't lost your touch. Nice work on both.
  18. Way cool. Great job on the body work and that slick black paint.
  19. Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I had tons of fun building this. Now to find a case for it, trying to come up with ideas for that.
  20. That came up very nice. I have thought about getting one of these but that is as far as it has got. The look of the Lonestar still has not grown on me, that grille reminds me of a cow puncher on an old steam locomotive. Nice job on opening the doors also. You should get some outdoor pics of it, the red and chrome would really pop.
  21. That is too cool. And to do all that in 2 months is very impressive. Great job all around.
  22. Well, it didn't rain aircraft parts on me? But seriously I woke up to this view this morning. The older I get the less I like snow but this did look pretty cool. Just glad the trees are bare or we would have been busted up.
  23. Looks great. Looks like you kept it in a case for it to be so clean.. I am a believer in that. Flame job looks like it would be tedious to do. I have one of these in the pile that I'll get to one of these days/years. Biggest thing is I haven't decided what color to make it.
  24. Well, after 4 or 5 months I finally got this undertaking done. Or as done as I'm gonna get it? Built from 2 MPC gravel trailer kits. Never did like the look of that 24 ft. triple axle that the kit depicts, so I dared to be different, converted it to a frameless tandem axle which is very common here in the western U.S. Probably not entirely accurate since all I had to go by was pics I found on the net, and they weren't the best. It seems that no 2 of these were the same. It's gonna go behind my W925, still need to pin the 5th wheel on it, still need a bit of research on that and come up with a hydraulic line. I kinda made it up as I went on some of it, surprisingly it ended up looking like I envisioned it. This is the biggest kitbash/scratch build I have ever done. I have learned a lot reading on this site which helped me get up the nerve to tackle such a project. Biggest thing is don't be afraid to dive in and give it a shot. I am happy with how it turned out overall. Hope you like, comments/critiques welcome as always. Thanks for lookin'.
