  1. Director William Friedkin who directed the 1971 Crime Drama classic "The French Connection" also directed another Crime Drama film from 1985. What was the name of the film?
  2. The last of the 20 plus decommissioned school buses that my boss was going to have scraped was hauled awat this morning. There's now more parking space available for the other buses that are still in service and for the personal vehicles of the drivers. Before, it was a nightmare.
  3. Cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and Mountain Dew. I'm not much of a cook.
  4. Outstanding job Francis. The detail on every square inch of your truck is absolutely jaw dropping.
  5. Atlantis listed the Nomad in it's 2021 catalog but not in the one for 2022. It could be that the people at Atlantis found issues with the tooling and postponed the model's release until a later date after the issues could be rectified.
  6. We have a winner. ?
  7. As a school bus driver, I'll pose a question. Which of the following is the most important piece of equipment that I have on the bus? A. Fire Extinguisher B. Horn C. Lights D. A Bottle Of Extra Strength Tylenol
  8. I looked over all of the models that I've acquired over the years including the "Crown Jewels" as I call them and I'm quite happy. However, I'm getting a feeling that I'm missing something or the collection is not quite complete. Has anybody got the same feeling?
  9. We have local channels which are digital but I've gotten used to not watching any TV for the last 18 months. In fact. I gave my TV to my brother after his was giving up the ghost.
  10. 90 days to finalize a dispute is totally nuts. It shouldn't have to take that long.
  11. I got a card in the mail today from Comcast asking me to return for cable TV and even offered me discounts but I just threw it in the mail. I yanked the cable plug in January of last year after Comcast kept pulling off my favorite channels and bundling them into packages that I had to pay more to get the channels back. Pulling it saved me almost $1500 last year and my blood pressure went down. I don't miss it to this day.
  12. Sweet looking car. Atlantis deserves tons of kudos for bringing back vintage kits like yours. I suspect that they still have a few molds to crack open that it purchased from the new owners of Revell back in 2018.
  13. I couldn't find my favorite brand of coffee which is "Taster's Choice" while grocery shopping yesterday. I finally found it at a Walgreen's near my house this morning so I got two jars. It must be a popular brand because it's always sold out at stores that I normally patronize.
  14. Three words, I LIKE IT! There's just something that makes vintage trucks and the weathered look on them go together like peanut butter and jelly.
  15. My computer woks fine except it wouldn't let me up load images of the cars and trucks in my model collection. I tried everything including ideas that others on the forum gave me but no such luck.
  16. I drive a school bus for a living and I often yelled at drivers who attempt to blow by the stop sign that I have out when I pick up the kids. When I do, they act more immature than the kids. They're the type of people who think they have a sense of entitlement as you pointed out. I'd rather see the feelings of adults get hurt than see the chance of the kids and their parents getting physically hurt when they cross the street to get to the bus. And I'm as grumpy as a bear before I have my morning coffee.
  17. I'm sure that this has happened to each member of this forum at least once or twice but some inconsiderate jerk stormed straight to the counter of my local Dunkin Donuts that I stop my every morning on my way to work instead of waiting in line like everybody else. Everybody in line gave the dude so much heat that he ran out the door without so much as an apology. Totally unreal.
  18. It also became a movie star when it appeared in the 1980 film "The Hollywood Knights" with Tony Danza as it's owner. I cringed when it got smoked by the AC Cobra with the two guys in it in the impromptu drag race at the traffic light. Even 40 plus years after the film's release, I'm still cringing over it.
  19. Earlier this year, I got a model of a nice built 57 Chrysler 300 from someone on E Bay who lives an hour from my house here in Massachusetts and was sent via the USPS. While tracking it, it ended up in New Orleans and it sat at the USPS facility for a few days before it was shipped to my house. I kept the seller updated on the delay and he was surprised as I was.
  20. I didn't have my favorite brand of instant coffee this morning which is "Taster's Choice" I did food shopping over the weekend and couldn't find a jar of it. It's that popular. I had "Folgers" instead.
  21. Opps. Disregard. I thought it all about newer kits and promos as well. I
  22. I tried different ways to upload images on my computer before as advised by some posters but it's as cranky as can be for some reason. However. I got a 1988 Chevy long bed pickup last weekend at a flea market that was missing both front wheels and axles for$3. Otherwise, the truck was in great shape. A set of Pegasus mags and tires took care of that. I used thin axles and they give the truck a cool low stance when it's on all fours. I'm also going to be in the market for a new computer soon. I wanna share my builds too.
  23. When I was a kid in the early 1970s, my dad was a big fan of the Sunday Night Mystery Movie that showed Columbo and McMillan & Wife on NBC and when that theme was played, he would say, "The weekend is over. School's back in session on Monday" I'm sure others remember going through that as well.
