  1. Coming along nicely Buddy, One day I might get mine posted on here but I keep having an issue matching the color on the flip hood with the body. I had to repaint it and now I can't get the color to match.?
  2. The issue with the pens is why I bought a refill bottle and use a brush or toothpick . I have also recently airbrushed it on wheels with really nice results.
  3. Cool old kit, simple is good? Nice job Bob?
  4. Looking great Gerry. You really nailed that white interior!!!?
  5. Yep, my process is clear, polish then foil. I have recently, due to the lousy sticking of the new foil, brush on a light coat of Future over the foil to seal it on. My 2 cents.?
  6. Under the catagory of things that make you go hmmmmmm? I had a thought....I find it interesting that you can't spray lacquer paint over enamel but you can mix lacquer thinner into enamel paint. ?
  7. Very cool Mario, and man that blackmis gorgeous?
  8. Thank you Mario, it was the first and only pick-up I have built.
  9. Well thank you Dominik. I almost forgot I did this?
  10. Wham...Bam....Thankyou Mam huh!!??
  11. Oh yeah, wonderful build there Tulio, great paint and engine.?
  12. Same about the wheels (???)but wow, that is one fine looking Camaro Joakim?
  13. So Steven, I see I'm not the only one with paint issues, tho yours is certainly not anywhere on the scale of my issues. Great recovery and great looking build.
  14. Very nice paint job Miles.....but what paint and your process?
  15. That is one baaaad looking Stude there Stephen. Great job?
  16. Apparently the 4050 is a newer protuct. Looks like I have a bunch of videos to look at huh?!
  17. Looks good to me my Friend!!
  18. Yeah, after looking at a few of the Createx videos, my better choice would be the Wicked Colors over the AirBrush line. Also an addition of what they call 4050 UV clear to the mix which it is said to make it an even harder surface. Sparaying another coat or 2 of the 4050 over that will give it a kind of high sheen, but not gloss. I really think te 4050 can be polished to bring out a good factory look shine. The 4050 is an acrilic resin urethane. I will have to do some experimenting.
  19. Beautiful Mario? One of the way too many real cars I owned was an '87 Formula. Enjoyed the heck out of it.
  20. Very cool James. The color works for it!!?
  21. Yeah, that should work!!
  22. Well Dave that sure is a long time. Yep, you are correct sir, I likely would be better off with enamels and when I first started it is what I used, but Rusto or Krylon spray cans and actually got pretty good results.... and no clear. I'm determined to go the acrylic route. I really think the final finishing after the base coat before clearing is where I have got to do better. And then of course, using a clear that I can perfect. Thanks again Dave. You are always helpful.
  23. I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for the responses. A lot of great comments and suggestions and advise.. I clearly need to zero in on a system and practice. You would think after a few years and by my count 22 completed builds and 2 more in progress I'd have it right. Thanks again my Friends!!
