  1. Looks darn good to me Bill?
  2. Very cool JJ, bet that 65 runs good with the 2x4's ??
  3. OK, that will work my friend if you don't mind.
  4. Repainted it and it looks better but it seems after putting several coats on it the spots where I sanded off the emblems are visable. I sure don't think I saw it before I added the additional coats. It seems I just can't win?. Also, I still don't think I'm getting the thinning part down yet, oh well.
  5. Hello again Dave. Looks like my Stynylrez won't get here until Friday and the weather gonna take a turn for the worst stating this weekend into next week. Anyway, I tried to very lightly damp sand the painted Mustang body with 2000 sandpaper. Bad idea, down to primer on a couple of ridges, except I did discover a couple of unsightly flaws to it's back to spraying it again. I still don't know if I'm thinning the Folkart with the right stuff for smoothness.

  7. Well Mark, maybe I'll follow your lead.? Really tho, I still think since mine isn't gonna actually be a GS, I'm just gonna grind back a little where the rear wheels attach to the rear axle housing, if its necessary. I really still don't have the tires I want so don't know how wide and/or if they will fit. Thinking about tackling the slots behind the rear wheels wells today.
  8. Mark and anyone elso looking to build a Grans Sport, checkmout this link http://www.theoldone.com/grandsport/article/grandsport.htm You will probably have to type in the link on your browser to open it.
  9. Super cool Mark. So many variations of this model can be made.?
  10. Hey Mark, I found some pretty wide tires and tried them and they will fit without flaring and there is about 1/8 inch that can be grinded off the chassis to move them in a bit. Been looking at Grand Sport pics and I'm thinking I'll use some of the GS mods on the kinda resto/pro street car I'm gonna build. BTW, your car continues to come along great!!
  11. Casesforcollectables.com Recently got 21 car mirrored back acrylic case with front cover and it came in flawless. Beautifuf piece.
  12. Spraygunner.com is an excellent source for evereything airbrush related. Good prices and fast delivery. They also respond to questions pretty quickly too. At least thats my experience with them fwiw.
  13. Welcome Chaz, a lot of helpful info from knowlegable, helpful forum members here. You might want to try waterbased craft paint also. But you would need an airbrush. Hobby Lobby has a huge selection, several brands, types and large array of colors.
  14. There are some super cool pro-modded 1:1 cars. As for the model, since the way the moulded in rear suspension and inner fenders are, I can't just shorten the axle housings and I just don't feel confident chopping it up. I have never done anything like that.
  15. Agree on all points!! I love my '02. Looking forward to progress pics on the '70's, cool project Craig.
  16. Well Rex, clearly you're a Mustang and Cougar fan as I can see in the group picture. I assume the '57 I see is a WIP.
  17. Very nice looking T'bird David?
  18. Very cool Rex, nice work?
  19. Continues to look great Mark, I'm thinking for my split window maybe doing a slight flaring of rear wheel well. Just something I've never tackled before.
  20. Yep I do agree, this is my car.
  21. Mimi, rescued at 2 years old and now 11. Spoiled rotten of course.
  22. Gotta be my favorite year also Craig (with maybe exception of my own 2002 of course). And since I've decided I really like using craft paint I hope you'll elaborate on your process. Will be looking forward to these bad boy's.
  23. Gotta agree with you on the paint next day (or later). I've learned to have the hair dryer ready with acrylic paint, seems to level it quicker. And another question? After the craft paint is dry and before clearing, what do you do about tiny imperfections before clearing. Fine grit sandpaper, steel wool??
  24. They look great David, love the diorama too.?
  25. Forgot another question. How long to dry before using the 0000? Sorry for all the questions.
