  1. Looks fantastic Greg! Love the stance, the big motor, stacks peeking thru the hood, great wheels, and cleanly built. She’s a beauty. The body/interior colours really work well too. Cheers, Steve
  2. Finally got the chassis, body, and interior united on my Olds project. Got some wiring to do now…
  3. Ok, moving along… I have the preliminary engine bay wiring mostly done. I had a heck of a time trying to get the colour of the pink washer fluid right. It’s certainly not perfect, but close enough. You can see the washer fluid jug has been modified , and is now on the driver side fenderwell. The interior has been dusted in preparation for assembly to the body. I “might” change the brake lines. I need to sit with it for a night or two. I was trying to mimic the texture of the cars lines, as shown below, but I might remove them and go with smooth wire. I’m open to your thoughts and comments around that. Tonight was a big night! I got the three sub assembly’s together. Everything fit! ??? I will run all the wires, and do some touch ups in the next couple of days. Here’s where we’re at now… That’s it for this addition. Thanks for having a look. Cheers, Steve
  4. Hi David, hope you have a fantastic holiday. I believe you showed that hood who the boss is. I like the decision to leave the scoop black. ? Cheers, Steve
  5. Yep… that’s the one, Thank you Russell !!
  6. Hi Bob, another good looking build sir. That engine looks all business! For the wheels, if you are looking for a cast aluminum look, try Tamiya silver leaf with matte clear over top. This is a recipe Dennis Lacy shared with me way back, and it looks very convincing. I’m just a rattlecan guy, so you may get even better results with an airbrush. Cheers, Steve
  7. Nice kit-bash Brian. I have a soft spot for these old 57’s.
  8. Really cool truck Steve. Great stance! Paint sounds like it would have been a challenge for sure, it turned out beautifully. Cheers, Steve
  9. Another very nice build Bob. Great colour choices, and nicely detailed.
  10. Very nice clean build Larry! That paint is tasty!… Love the interior colours as well. I plan on using the Tamiya metallic orange on my next build. I have done some test spoons, looks like I need to try some clear orange over it now. Thanks for sharing the recipe! Cheers, Steve
  11. Somewhere on the board here, I think maybe in general automotive, there is a thread on “outlaw Mercedes” you may find more inspiration there. Love the inspiration that you have for your build. Most of the 3d printers, and sites like scale production, have an outside diameter measurement. These are generally shown in millimeters, in 1/25 scale, 1mm equals 1”. Hope that helps a little.
  12. Hi Ralph, and welcome to the forum. There are many 3d printed options (Texas 3d, iceman collections, jays resin to name a few), have a look at Scale Productions, Michael makes beautiful wheel/tire sets. I assume you would be looking for larger diameter, 20”-22” ? Cheers, Steve

    The Yard

Charles, you are the “King” of dioramas sir. Your craftsmanship is extraordinary. Your weathering is absolutely superb, and you have knack of capturing a “moment in time” in bringing it to life. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Steve
  14. Rooster, it looked fantastic inside, but looks even better outside! Absolutely beautiful build, love it ? Thanks for posting these.
  15. Hi Stuart, nice clean build. The older I get, the more I like the old Mopar colours. Personally, I think your foil work looks great. There is a tutorial about foiling wheel arches in the “tips and tricks” section by Steven Guthmiller that you might find useful. Wheel arches are tricky.
  16. Awesome pro street build Rooster! Great paint, and beautiful crisp build all round. Any chance we could see an outdoor shot to really show off that paint? Cheers, Steve
  17. Hi Martin! I would say your “transformation” is a definite improvement!! ? To see what you started with, and the incredible work of art you created, simply amazing. You probably get sick of hearing how much your builds look like real cars, but man… they do look like you could turn the key and mash the throttle. Beautiful work my friend. Cheers, Steve
  18. Ah yes, another wonderful creation from the slightly twisted mind of CT. Excellent work as always my friend. Your creativity, and craftsmanship are top shelf. The house of Claude never disappoints!! Cheers, Steve

    AMT 65 GTO

Excellent slump buster! As many others have said, you can’t go wrong with a classic red and black combo. Nice job on the shiny black paint, that’s not easy…
  20. Looking good Bob! I really like the wheel colour, works well with the body colour. ??
  21. Beautiful wagon Keith! I love old wagons. Your stance, colours, and wheel tire choice are all excellent, nice clean build sir! Cheers, Steve
  22. Oh Boy!…. I REALLY like where this is going. Very cool looking build Michael, I’m along for the ride for sure. Cheers, Steve
  23. Hi Stuart, welcome to the forum. I appreciate your kind words. I’m getting close on this one. I’ve got another build waiting impatiently on the sidelines, so I need to get this done! Cheers, Steve
  24. Hi Jim! You have been busy. The Ol Bird is coming along nicely. Chassis detail painting looks really good, the front fender mods, and roof fix, all looking great. A thought on the green colour, have you tried the green over white primer? That “should” lighten the colour up a bit. Just a thought, bust out a spoon and test.
  25. Sheesh…. That hood is a stubborn thing isn’t it. If anyone can sort it out it’s you David. It does seem like a very unusual flaw to keep surfacing like that. The build is coming along nicely, great colour!
