  1. Another nice build Bob! I really like that dark mica blue, I think I might have a can of that somewhere 🤔.
  2. Nice build Jim, and shiny!….
  3. Beautiful, crisp build Tom, love that colour. Very tidy foil work!
  4. Hi Topher, liked the way this one was headed. I will watch for it to resurface… If the hinges are still giving you fits, have a look at the tips and tricks section. There is a “pinned” thread on hinges with lots of great ideas. Just a thought.
  5. Great build James, lots of nice mods. I like the magnet/dash idea, I might use that on my current build.🤔
  6. Good start Bob. That Iceman motor will fill the engine bay nicely.
  7. Hi Greg! Sheesh, I leave the board for a few minutes and look what I miss. This is a very cool rod. The intake set up is killer! I like that you chose a six, rather than a hemi, or sbc. Nice to see something different. Both of your exhaust set ups are well built, the headers do add a slightly more “hot rodded” look. Beautiful work as always sir! Oh… the styrene wheels do look a pinch better than the cardboard units!
  8. Nice progress David, looks like you’re getting close…
  9. Very nice work Rooster. Looking good.
  10. Haha !! Thanks Joe. Wayne has now seen this build, I didn’t give it to him yet, as I still need some glamour shots. Got a stamp of approval though. Him and I, along with the rest of my wife’s family are hanging out in Hawaii for a bit…
  11. Hi David, thanks for the kind words, and input on the rear wing. I think you are close with wing location, right now my thought is that the back edge of the wing would line up with the back of the chassis. I will play with final location once the rear suspension is installed. (Or at least mocked up) I appreciate your input! Thanks Keith! Yep, you and David are both dry close with the wing location I think. Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Thank you Chris, I appreciate you checking in. I hope that everything is ok in your world. I’m away from my bench for another week and a half, but chomping at the bit to get more done on this. Thanks for taking the time to comment fellas.
  12. Thanks Spike! I like to do something a little different once in a while. Hi Les, thanks for the input. That race series sounds awesome, gonna have to do a search on that… Hopefully John. Once I get some details done, it should start looking half decent. It feels like I’m moving in the right direction Brian. I appreciate you following along. Thanks Anton. I hope so… Hi Brian, looks like you are fairly new here, so welcome aboard!! There are endless possibilities with this type of build, I plan on doing at least one more eventually. I would be curious to see what you would create. Yes, there are some very talented, and creative people on this site. I have been on this forum for about 4 years, and it is a wonderful place to learn and share. Thanks for checking in!
  13. Thanks DJ. Finally making some headway with it.
  14. This one is underway in the WIP section, finally got far enough along that I could get a decent mock. Nothing glued, or “finish” painted yet, just a Quick Look to see where I’m at.
  15. Hi all, time for an update. I felt the need to get some paint on this beast. Most of the test fitting etc is done, and the major components are almost sorted out. Of coarse, if it’s painted, it’s time for a quick mock!! Base coat of silver, metallic orange, and clear orange, all Tamiya. No clear yet. Nothing is glued together yet, and LOTS of detail painting to do yet, just a quick mock to see where I’m at. One thing I will almost certainly change is the rear wing. It’s a bit too far back in my eye, so I will tinker with that. You can see I have started the engine, but still work to do on that as well. I fully realize that this type of build isn’t everyone’s “cup of tea” but it is fun doing something a bit different. I also have realized that this is an ‘85 (?) Daytona, not an 88. I don’t have the original box… As always, thanks for looking!!
  16. VERY cool Mustang Mozzi. The stormtrooper theme really works well. Love all the details, and personal touches you added. This thing has some serious attitude!! I am about to start some cf decals on my current build. Seeing how much you did, gives me the courage to forge ahead, and not whine about how tedious it is. Decals aren’t my thing…
  17. Gorgeous truck Stuart! A nice clean build all round. Wheel/tire choice, and stance are spot on! I really like the Tamiya metallic orange, my current build is going to be the same colour.
  18. Thanks Phil!! As you know, I don’t generally build replicas, that is your specialty. I am quite proud of this one tho, I think it turned out well. We will indeed have a great holiday, guess who my wife and I are sharing a house with… yes, Wayne and his wife. So I have decided that I am showing him the car before we leave, even tho I can’t give it to him yet. Not exactly how I wanted to reveal it, but it’s time to let him see it. Halloween night… Thanks Keith, bust that kit out and have a go. It’s a really nice kit. Thank you Anton, much appreciated. Thanks so much Rich, those are very kind words. I definitely stepped my game up a bit on this one. This forum, and the super talented builders here, have taught me a lot over the last 4 plus years. The sharing here is awesome, I’m always humbled to think someone might be inspired by something I built. So thank you again.
  19. Very nice David! Looks amazing all finished up.
  20. HA!! Stay tuned, I haven’t even got to the good stuff yet. Soon tho. Thanks for checking in Keith, always great to hear from you. Thanks Brian!
  21. Hi Dennis, that colour, and paint job are absolutely stunning. I went and bought a can of that colour today ?
  22. Headlights done. Just some minor clean up left. They won’t get glued in place just yet, probably after body is painted.
  23. Yep. Just received my order of custom decals from them. Good product!
