  1. Nice clean build as always Craig. I like the yellow better, but I do really like the first colour too. Vinyl top is very well done
  2. Nice group of Mopars Dan. All cleanly built, well done!
  3. Another nice build Mario. I love the backdrop you have there, great photos.
  4. For anyone interested, this is now “under glass” with some half decent glamour shots. Thanks again to all of you that followed along. Hope some of you will join in the next build over in the truck section. I will be starting my tribute build to Roger Hayes, (Plowboy). Should be under way in a couple of days… Cheers, Steve
  5. Thanks Sonny! It was definitely a fun one. Thank you. Paint is something that I have improved on over the last several years. I appreciate the comments.
  6. Thanks Martin!! I have had so many builders on here inspire me, and get me fired up up to build “something” so I am very pleased that this has given you the itch. I very much look forward to following along when you get started. Nice to hear from you sir!
  7. Hi all! Got this one finished up yesterday, so here it is in completed form. The initial inspiration for this build came while working on my pro touring 70 Caddy. Russell C here on the forum sent me a link that sent me down a rabbit hole, and I came out with tons of ideas. Thanks again Russell!!! Then Martin Aveyard built an amazing cyberpunk car, and that was it, I had to build one. Thanks again to Martin as well for inspiration, and some help with questions I had. I totally get that this build will not be everyone’s “cup of tea” but it was fun, and something a little different. List of modifications: Body: Dodge Daytona body with rear removed, front fenders removed, raised, then reinstalled to add width, side scoops added, opened grill and hood vent, roof scoop, headlights from a Camaro. Body is Tamiya metallic orange, with clear orange, then clear. Interior: modified dash, added S10 gauges, scratch built console/shifter/and drift brake, seats from a Subaru rally car, seat belts, roll bar, radar detector, parts box steering wheel, keys in ignition, flocked floor boards under hood: fuel cell with fill tube, battery, NOS bottle, re positioned rad with hoses, scratch built inner fenders. Chassis: narrowed front, lengthened mid section, relocated wing forward about 12”, ignition wires, fuel line, brake lights, modified wheels to suit and added valve stems. Thanks to all that followed along in the WIP thread. It sounds like a couple of you have builds of your own brewing! (Anton, Martin, others?) Hope to see what you guys create. More information in the WIP thread below should you be interested. And the “glamour shots”…. Thank you for taking the time to have a look. As always, all comments, questions and criticisms welcome.
  8. Got this one finished up this morning. I should have it under glass by tomorrow. Thanks to all that followed along, and took the time to comment. It has been a fun build. I will be venturing over to the truck section for my next build. Finally getting around to a tribute build for Roger Hayes (Plowboy).
  9. Thanks Spike! I appreciate your support. John! Thanks again, I’m glad you are enjoying this build, and really appreciate your comments. I had a vision, and it’s coming together dry close to what I had in mind. I learned a bit from this one that I will use to improve the next version I do. I think I’ll do a muscle car next… Several builds in the que before that though. Hey… two Johns! Thanks John, as mentioned in the first post, I got my inspiration from some internet images, and from Martin Aveyard’s incredible build. It has been a fun build for sure. Thanks for the comment.
  10. Greg, as mentioned above, your tips, tricks and tutorials are always fantastic. Thanks for sharing. I will DEFINITELY be using this one. I particularly like that with how you did this, it’s kind of mass production. Just trim one off as needed, a real time saver. Thanks again sir.
  11. Ah haaa!! I have seen MANY threads with replies such as “great looking paint job!??”, or something similar with question marks after. I thought maybe some sort of spell check issue, but this makes sense. I certainly hope my replies to others which often include emogies, haven’t been mistaken as sarcasm or worse. Thank you mods for everything you do to keep this forum running smooth. It is truly appreciated.
  12. Brian!! Sorry, I missed you in my last reply, my apologies. The CF decals… I watched quite a few video tutorials, and I feel like I have reasonable skills, but man, they fight me hard. They are sort of flexible’ but I do not have the talent, or patience to pull off what others do. The heat gun is quite helpful though, as well as setting solution. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the people that achieve the smooth finish on complex shapes. The rad hose clamps are some photo etch fret. I recently started keeping all the fret for uses like this. Fairly pliable, but also rigid. Otis is awesome, he loves hobby time. He hunkers down and snuggles in. Thanks for having a look Brian
  13. Hi all, getting really close now. Still on track to finish this weekend. Underhood done, wheels mounted, wing attached. I have a list of about 10 smallish items left to do. The carbon fibre decals on the intake are not great, but I’m happy enough to call it good. Just don’t look too close😉 Next update should be the last!!
  14. The amazing work continues… This is a remarkable build Brian. That rolling chassis is a thing of beauty sir. The plow is spectacular too. Going to be a treat watching this come together.
  15. Thanks Greg, nice to hear from you. Hi Trevor, I appreciate the kind words. Thanks David! Otis says thanks for looking out for him. 🐶 He has a few health issues now due to his age, but come meal time he still acts like a puppy. Thanks for taking the time to comment guys! More soon…
  16. Yes Sir!! I will be following along on this one too Dave. I have one more build in the que, then I will join in on the Canadian car fun.
  17. Awesome project Dave. Really cool to see another Beaumont being built. I have some parts on their way from Canuck 3d too😀! Some nice scratch building happening here, love the headrests. Cheers, Steve
  18. Hi Greg, fabulous group of builds! I really enjoy your WIP threads, always lots of great information, and ideas. The T-Bird is outstanding, love everything about it, wheels, stance, engine, and the colour is perfect👌. The pro street 32 is killer too.
  19. Most of the underhood detail is now done. Carbon fibre inner fenders, NOS bottle, rad with plumbing, fuel cell with fill tube. As you can see, there is room for a battery up front, just need to detail it. The NOS bottle will be visible through the screen in the hood😎 I had my faithful pal Otis at my side tonight as an emotional support dog while I started to tackle the carbon fibre decals on the intake🫣😱. His calm energy is very helpful… He will be 14 next month. Im hoping to have this wrapped up in a week or so. Got LOTS of ideas for my next builds, gotta get going!!
  20. I missed this one first time around Dann. Really cool project, I will be watching!
  21. Looking fabulous Greg! I agree with Trevor above 👆paint, and foil work are 👌👌
  22. _Thanks Phil, I’m hoping so. Happy new year! Yes I do! Thanks for checking in Chris, hope all is well with you.
  23. Excellent!! Another beauty Claude. Great colour combination, and stance is just right. I really like the “tin work” under the hood, nicely done. Hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and happy new year my friend.
  24. Hi Martin! Definitely no apologies necessary, glad you stopped in for a look. I appreciate the kind words. It’s starting to look like something, and I think it’s pretty cool. Interestingly, the only Daytona parts are: a portion of the body and hood, the dash, interior door cards, and the windshield… I would love to see more of these types of builds. I will eventually be doing at least 2 more, one based on a muscle car, and one of a truck. I have a radical twin turbo motor that is begging to be installed in one of these builds. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. Im glad you’re enjoying this one John. Thanks for the support. Thanks Jimmy. Hi Bruce, thanks for that. You’ve joined in at the right time, it’s starting to come together. Thank you David! Nice to hear from you sir. I’m trying to improve my fabrication skills with each build. Some days I think I’m doing ok, other days not so much… Thanks Spike!! Thanks for the interest fellas, it keeps me motivated!
  25. Really cool builds Bob. All very cleanly done. Flintstone mobile is wicked! Great job painting the figures as well. As others said, nice to have fun with our hobby, and clearly you did that this year. Well done
