  1. I love the darker shade of red on the MKIIs! They pop up on ebay quite often! Thank you!
  2. Me too! They're wonderful to drive! Black fuchs look the best in my opinion! Thank you!
  3. I really love the tri-tone green color scheme! I recently built the same kit and had a great time making one of these as well!
  4. Great color choice on a beautifully done model!
  5. Easily the best Fujimi EM turbo build that I've ever seen! The wheel fitments were always a challenge on the EM 911s and yours look perfect!
  6. 74’ 3.0 Carrera RS is not as popular or well known as the 73’ RS that fetches crazy money on auction blocks, but when it came out it was a serious track-focused machine with 917 brakes and suspension from RSR. Porsche saw a good success with 74’ RSR which had later became a basis for the 934. It’s an old Fujimi enthusiast kit that I built back in 2009 and stayed in somewhat neglected environment. Bunch of parts were broken off and the whole body was caked in dust, so I did what I could to bring it back to presentable state. Overall it's a must buy kit for 911 enthusiasts. Original build summary: Tamiya surfacer and three coats of TS-14 black Polished w/o clear coat Hood was cut open and a few details were added to engine bay and frunk area Gold Carrera decals were not salvageable unfortunately Hope you guys enjoy!
  7. I wish Tamiya included tires with proper sidewall but it's pretty decent curbside kit! Thank you!
  8. Love the dark green color too. And that's a great looking engine bay! I see that you used different aluminum/silver colors for underbody as well. Great attention to detail ?
  9. Looking sharp!
  10. Beautifully done! Your photos remind me of Art Fitzpatrick's illustrations!
  11. Thank you! 951s are now getting deserved attention on the auction blocks these days! Thank you!
  12. I didn't know Fujimi made a gen 2 CRX! Black & white two tone is hard to pull off and you did it great!
  13. That's a sweet looking vette! Great work!
  14. Thank you! Can't get enough of them! Appreciated!
  15. Thank you! Haven't seen much saab scale model kits but I'd love to build 99! Thank you!
  16. Love the color choice of both builds - I really like the matching color inside & out.
  17. Love the color and overall minimalistic look!
  18. Thank you! Tamiya flat TS colors make great texture for natural looking leather interior! It's a very versatile color indeed! Thank you! Appreciate the compliment! Dark color hides paint overruns! Thank you! I need to think of nice diorama background! Thanks. It's my second Tamiya 930 build and the masking job alone takes more than the entire rest of build! It's definitely much more brownish than I thought. Even though I dried overnight the wet clear coat instantly 'melted' the smoke layer in certain areas. Ideally I would do 2-3 very light mist coats of clear on top when using smoke or other clear colors. Thank you! I'd like to continue playing around with translucent colors. Usually I've seen clear red/orange on top of silver to simulate automotive metallic color w/o thick metallic flakes. Appreciate it! I think overall it took about 8-10 hours to complete minus the drying time! Could've been tighter with the paint and masking but I really wanted to get it out the door before the snow storm.
  19. Flachbau/Flatnose/Slantnose originated from 935 when Porsche factory racing team found a loophole in Group 5 rulebook that the location of headlamps was not restricted, and they could modify the fenders. Then Mansour Ojjeh who owns TAG asked Porsche to custom build street-legal 935 and everyone else wanted something similar - which motivated Porsche to start a program to hand build slantnose 930s for "regular customers" which has eventually become Exclusive Manufaktur program of today. This is one of Tamiya's the very first release of 930 kit back in 1987. I don't think they ever reissue the slantnose version (they re-released the 88' turbo recently) and it's a fairly rare kit I believe. It's a very simple snap-tight kit with maybe 20 pieces in total - wipers, bumpers, and even turn signals and fog lamps are all molded into the body. Overall proportion looks great except for wider rear wheel house and much smaller tire than it really should be, and I also lowered the front & rear suspension to reduce wheel/fender gap. Overall build only took 2 days (Toronto had a warm weekend temperature hovering around 45F and I had to finish within those days) and I used; - Tamiya grey surfacer - TS-17 gloss aluminum base coat - TS-71 smoke layered on top of TS-17 - TS-13 clear - TS-33 dull red for interior - BMF for turn signal and fog lamps - TS-6 matte black after the whole body was masked off I initially wanted to simulate either Meteor Grey or Schwarz Metallic, but it turned out to be more brownish than I anticipated. Hope you guys enjoy!
  20. Awesome looking surface finish!
  21. You chose the best color for the AE92! I love these Hasegawa kits depicting pedestrian cars. Great job!
  22. Thank you! For me it was SEGA rally that I first got to know these rally machines! Thank you! Even with slightly larger wheels I think it'll look much better. It was most trouble-free enthusiast kit that I've built though. Appreciate it! Thank you! Thank you! Hasegawa kit with fujimi engine would be best of both worlds.
  23. Thank you! 70s and 80s European cars are my favourites as well. Appreciate it!

    71 GTX

Very nice color. I thought it's a grey until I saw the metallic flakes!
  25. Love the color and subtle metallic flakes! Very clean and beautifully done.
