Thank you, Lee. And I've gotten used to the look of the wiper blades.

Thank you Glen, JK and Bill. Thanks Robert and yes styling from that era in general is sorely missing on the roads today. Thank you, Chris, James and Bob. I do have an affinity for white interiors. Thank you John. The door panel lines were deepened with the back edge of a slightly worn #11 hobby blade. I do all of my models in that fashion. Thanks Jim. I haven't been on here for a few months and just saw your orange '67 Impala. Looks absolutely gorgeous in the sunlight. Thank you, Philippe. Thanks David, and I felt fortunate to find this color with the modern offerings from Dupli-Color. The black lower body color is not only correct for this particular model but also adds such a nice accent.

A stunning copper color.

Thanks for your comments, Bruce, Mike, Harry, and Gerald. The '67 and '68 fastback Impalas are my most favorite. Thank you, Rusty. The color reminded me of Mountain Green that was available that year and not as commonly seen on these cars. I have to be honest and say I didn't sand off the detail on the passenger wheel housing but I'll most likely take care of it on my next build.

AMT 1/25 scale 1967 Impala SS-427 that was built from a 1997 issue kit. Painted in Dupli-color Hampsted Green (a Honda color) and cleared with Rust-Oleum Lacquer (green label can). Excellent kit overall that required some massaging to get the body mated to the chassis. The model has all of the markings of the SS-427 model except for the "Super Sport" emblem above the taillights which should be a "Chevrolet" script. I hadn't noticed the incorrect emblem until I was polishing the paint otherwise it would have been removed. I have a couple of the newer releases of this kit which have side view mirrors but since this kit did not, I used a spare mirror from the Revell '69 Camaro. I filled the grooves in the tires with Deco-Art Cherry Red acrylic paint. The trim lines are nicely defined for foiling but since it is an older kit the chrome has some blemishes in a few spots. Definitely looking forward to building another one of these in the near future. And lastly, I somehow managed to reverse the correct positioning of the wiper blades which become apparent.....after the super glue dried.

Very nice work on the model and engine modifications which often extends the build time.

Excellent creation. My second car was a base (non louvered quarter window) '73 LeMans coupe in Slate Green. So seeing this is really cool.

Thanks Anders. It's a simple kit I truly enjoy building.

Spectacular looking build. I do like those C7's.

Thanks Mike. Always thought the Riviera was a very classy car.

That one gave me a good laugh. And I wasn't aware those motors had such issues. I do remember the Quad4 being pretty heavily marketed by Olds at the time.

Thank you Bo and Carl.

Those '73 Regals had beautifully appointed interiors. In later years ('76-'77) there was the S/R edition which was also very luxurious. -
Beautiful example of another model I've never seen before.

Thanks David. I'm content with this one but on close inspection there's some room for improvement.

I've successfully used 91% Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning brushes when using Tamiya X-26 clear orange acrylic. I haven't used any other brushable Tamiya paints so not sure if the info helps.

Excellent work. I've used this Apple Red on interior parts but would consider trying it on a body after seeing how well this turned out.

That is one gorgeous red paint job.

Great work as always and a really sharp looking color.
-
Thanks Chuck. Fortunately we live in an era where dark reds are popular newer car colors.

That is a really sharp looking build and great photography. I like what you did with the headlights and will have to experiment with mixing white paint and clear. I've been trying to develop a way of creating a translucent white for headlights/side markers. -
Thank you Ed, Bob and Hector. I'm still learning how to best photograph them. And I envision this color being used at least a few more times.
