  1. The pinstripe above the lower body paint is a good idea. Reminds me a bit of the striping detail on the '74 Chevelle Laguna.
  2. Nice. Always wondered what a built version of this one looked like.
  3. I was wondering if the 360 V-8 made it to '80 but the CAFE standards apparently eliminated that motor from the lineup.
  4. You have an impressive model collection. Didn't realize Revell produced a '57 Chevy convertible. Something I might have to add to my collection.
  5. Beautiful build and great polishing job on an awesome color.
  6. Outstanding build and I like what appears to be seat fabric inserts.
  7. Agreed the work removing the hatchback lines looks excellent.
  8. Very true as it's not like they included bumper fillers with the kit....lol.
  9. Another WIP thread that should be fun following the build progression. The custom version depicted on the box is quite a radical departure from the factory style.
  10. That is a spectacular build throughout.
  11. Nice acquisition's especially that original release of the '70 Monte Carlo.
  12. I agree that the Revell Nomad on the beach would make a good puzzle. Always liked that one.
  13. That's a spectacular job. I'm coming into the final building stages of this kit but I don't know if mine will look as nice as yours.
  14. That is sharp looking especially with the red interior.
  15. Nice polishing job as the paint reflects beautifully. I have this kit unbuilt and haven't decided whether or not to add a vinyl top.
  16. This is a very good idea by Round 2 especially given the retro box art they've featured in recent years. Wouldn't mind seeing the '69 Olds 442 or the '70 Monte Carlo as a puzzle.
  17. Outstanding work Mike and I've been looking forward to seeing this one complete. The gold/black combination is great and it's detailed superbly throughout. Didn't realize these could be ordered as lower priced 442 clones but then that's more or less what Pontiac did with the T-37 LeMans and Chevrolet did with the Heavy Chevy Chevelle.
  18. It appears to be a clean looking body with well defined panel lines around the doors. Didn't realize there wasn't a back seat on this one. And yeah, I've joined the club having just received the MPC '79 Nova a couple of days ago and looking forward to building mine.
  19. Okay, well thank you for the information on the clear coat.
  20. Glad to hear Rustoleum's Gloss Lacquer performs well as I purchased a can online a month ago and wondered about it's capabilities.
  21. I actually occasionally enjoy investing the time in not so great kits. While my skills are definitely still a work in progress I was reasonably satisfied with what I did with the MPC '79 Trans Am.
  22. Nice score. Those kit values have soared in the past couple of years.
  23. Those look good but I'll probably just fill the hole in the top of the seats I have if I don't wish to use the headrests that come with the kit.
  24. After hearing less than stellar reviews on the AMT '67 GTO model kit I debated purchasing one. Finally decided I wanted to accept the challenge and see what I could do with one. Opened the box upon receiving today in the mail and I have to say it will take some time and patience to build this one. But it's all good though.
  25. Beautiful job overall. I've heard the decals can be tricky on this one and yours are spot on.
