  1. The Century body looks great. I always liked the sweeping fender lines on the '73 to '75 model years.
  2. I just picked up the Round 2 release of the '66 Buick Wildcat kit yesterday (in addition to it being a fun build I liked the vintage box art) at Hobby Lobby. It's a more recent addition on their shelves despite the kit being out since 2019 and with the 40% coupon it was 14.99 plus tax.
  3. You lay down such slick and mirrorlike paint on your models. That inspires me to keep getting better with my finishing process.
  4. I agree that the blacked out vertical bars in the grill create a cleaner appearance on the Super Sport models. Eventually when I build my kits I intend to darken those areas.
  5. Yes, it is definitely a high quality build as it's detailed beautifully and built very cleanly. I've seen this color on 1:1 cars at shows but never on a scale model. The red interior (something else I haven't seen on the 1:1 cars in this color) also works well with the Royal Plum. This is one of my most favorite subjects as I have a couple of these kits in my collection that need to get built.
  6. I have this kit (currently unbuilt) and it's nice to see this spectacular build.
  7. Impeccable build of a rarely seen subject. I admire your foil work on this one.

    68 Vette

Nice build and that color works well on the Mako body.
  9. That's a really nice looking build and I like the factory Oldsmobile full wheel covers.
  10. Nice shelves and that Toronado looks really sharp in that color combo. One of my other hobbies is cabinetmaking/woodworking so this would be a nice project for me to accomplish.
  11. Beautiful paint finish on a cleanly built model.
  12. That is really cool. Great work.
  13. That is flawless and mirrorlike paint and something I'm always attempting to accomplish in my builds. You mention 4 polished clear coats which I'm assuming means you wet sanded between coats of clear. Overall that is a spectacular build.
  14. Exceptional work and I admire the great job on the decals.
  15. Beautiful work and I've heard this kit goes together nicely.
  16. Thanks Chris. Thanks Jim.
  17. Looks great overall and this kit is also a favorite of mine as I have several. The plastic does seem softer on the older Monogram versions of this kit as opposed to the more recent Revell releases. Interesting tip.
  18. That's an impeccable build. I'm currently building the W-30 version of this kit and yes, those wheels require patience.
  19. Excellent build in one of the nice colors from that year. Didn't realize resin wheel covers were available for the full size '67 Chevy.
  20. Looks great in that color and nice work on the decals. Just out of curiosity, did you dechrome the oil pan? Chromed oil pans are sort of common with these MPC kits.
  21. Excellent build of a great kit. I've built one of these and have a couple more to complete. I didn't even attempt the pinstripe decals on this one.
  22. Thanks Carl. Thanks Greg. I've always been a fan of the '68-'69 Beaumonts but they're not often seen here. In all the years I've attended car shows I've probably only seen couple and below is one of them.
  23. I now see where this is a retro kit and readily available on ebay. I think it would be a pretty cool looking build as a convertible.
  24. Well you got a very good one done and being a fan of green cars I definitely like the color. Didn't realize there was a model for this one so I'm guessing this is a vintage kit.
  25. What a great pair of Fox bodies!
