  1. Mega Dittos on previous comments, Awesome build!
  2. I like it too, the color choices really grab the eyes, simple but very effective.
  3. Appreciate you comments, especially from a Bakersfield drag fan. Besides Felson, I read and collected all the Burrough's Martian series, back in the day.
  4. Thanks Patrick, I checked online and found several listing for the book, moderate to expensive. Go for it!
  5. Glad you got it without damaging anything. Prompted me to start my 67 kit, and I really checked the frame clearance with fr/rr panels taped on; this kit has about 5mm clearance for front of chassis. I agree that newer instructions lack a lot, so postings like yours helps the rest of us. Thanks.
  6. Looks great, two of my favorites (the Duece cpe and the Beach Boys. I remember building models listening to their music a loooong time ago.
  7. I'm using chassis and interior from a Lindberg 63 mustang, it's working out well. Did have to add some panel to rear. I have pic's I can share if you're interested.
  8. Just watched it, good tip ideas quickly presented.
  9. Very nice interior and I like the fuel rail setup.
  10. Very nice, great job on chrome and detail.
  11. Thank you Chris, I see you like green too.
  12. Very clean build, and I like the interior finishing, too.
  13. Thank you, glad you like it.
  14. IMHO, really superior detailing and paint. Work like yours inspires me to improve my builds. Thanks! Someday, maybe....
  15. Stephen, Carl, & David, Thanks for looking and I really appreciate you taking your time to comment. Stephen, did you read any Henry Felson's books? I've used his descriptions from Street Rod and Hot Rod to do a couple of models. Read those in my youth, and now have a few more in my collection.
  16. Thanks to all of you for looking and the positive comments. I know skinny would have looked more normal, but I used the smallest tires I had on hand to fit the mags that matched the rear ones. Since then my tire stash grew a lot. (LOL)
  17. Browsing a second hand store one day and found a copy of The Green Ghost for 50 cents. After reading it, just had to build one; the description gave a lot of detail, most of which I could do. I found a couple of deals on ebay to give me what I needed to start. One detail I not included was the plaque for the dash, couldn't reduce the font size small enough to fit. Other than that the model closely follows the book. I started this in Mar 2019, took about 2 months to finish. Used an new airbrush and one of my early attempts with hobby acrylic paints and Future. Thanks to the formum members, I know now about polishing and wet sanding. I really enjoyed building this; it's one of my favorites in my collection. Hope you enjoy it, comments are welcome. This is what I started with: After some body clean up, cut the front clip to make a flip nose. Motor is 392 Hemi with double oil filter, lots of chrome, plug wires (before discovering small wire), homemade dipstick Aluminum tube for driveshaft, modified bumper, made chute mounting, used testor's amber light paint to simulate fuel in filter Interior includes Plexi window, fuel mask, helmet, extinguisher, foot pedal activated chute release, homemade seatbelts Exterior shots with trim and decals done. This shot of the trunk to show the "Ghost" picked up a mysterious feature.
  18. I'm doing the same swap, engine firewall clearance is ok, but fenderwell required changing fan belt/alternator to fit. I ended cutting belt (5mm) to fit it in. Also check radiator clearance, trimmed trans crossmember height to set engine back, but no mod to firewall needed. Hope this helps.
  19. Good looking van, nice paint choice and finish.
  20. Very good job on the decals, and the build. Was that a full kit or just a body from Flintstone (never tried one of theirs)?
  21. Those huge wheels do work on your van, as does the paint/graphics. That's what vanners did/do. Really nice build.
  22. Ah, the good old days, fond memories and fun times. Nice to see some again. Thanks for sharing the pics.
  23. Really beautiful Pontiac, especially the color; impressive interior on both of them. Nice detail engine compartments, also. Good job!
  24. Glad you're here. Very clean build, nicely done. Looking forward to seeing more. Almost got to see your country back in 1968, still regret not getting to go.
  25. Completed, hope it helps keep a good thing going.
