  1. Really nice looking Cobra. nice job. Great story as well.
  2. Yeah now that's an old school Hot Rod. Looks like I could get in and drive down the main drag with one arm out the window and one hand on the wheel. Awesome job.
  3. Thank you for the kind words Mark. I think it turned out pretty good.
  4. Thanks Tim. I prime everything with Rust-Oleum 2X flat gray. This was the first time I used FolkArt because My normal brands (Anita's & Ceramcoat) didn't have the colors I wanted. I thin the acrylic paint with Windex 50/50. I'm using a Paasche H airbrush and set my air pressure at 25 psi with a working pressure of 20 psi. I will shoot about 5 coats of paint letting it dry between coats which is only about 5 min in the summer time. After that sets for 24 hrs I clear it with Rust-Oleum acrilic lacquer. 2 light coats and 2 wet coats letting it flash 20 min between coats. I'll let that cure for 48 hrs then wet sand and polish with Novus 2. This is the process I came up with that works the best for me so far. It may not be the best way but its all I have for now. Its still a work in progress. Hope this helps.
  5. I like it Bruce. the interior really looks nice. Great job.
  6. Paul I believe those tires came out of the AMT 67 Chevrolet kit if memory serves me correct.
  7. Thanks Dave. I appreciate your kind words man.
  8. This looks like a good kit Mario so I'll be taking my time.
  9. Thanks for the info Dave
  10. Thanks fella's. Still early and I have some options.
  11. Thanks Mario. I appreciated it man.
  12. I think I found my Huckleberry. I first pulled out my 66 Nova as I've heard that subframe was good to use and I then pulled out the 67 Chevelle. Still not sure about this major mod. I pulled out my 56 Ford (Foose) pickup and the wheels fit like a glove with only some minor mods needed to get the stance I want. Whatya think of these wheels and tires and the stance?
  13. Got this one done fella's. This was a super nice kit and I really enjoyed building this one. I had no fitment issues and I liked the kit so well I bought a 2nd. The paint is FolkArt Basil Green & Coffee Bean acrylic from HL. I cleared it with Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Acrylic Lacquer and it was then wet sanded & polished with Novus 2. I found some wire for the winch in the wife's craft stash so I took what I need which wasn't much but I'll see how long it takes her to say something to me ☺ She don't miss a thing. As always fella's, comment welcome. On to the next build.
  14. Ok fella's. I'm throwing the towel in and calling this one done. I'll post pic Under Glass shortly.
  15. You got a point there Ray. We'll see.
  16. I appreciate the offer Rich and I will keep it in mind. I just finished my 34 pickup and haven't gotten deep into the 61 Impala yet.
  17. Thank's for the info James. I'm going to look in my stash and see what other tires I may have that are in-between the stock and the big meats.
  18. Yup....I don't want to miss up a kit either. Let me know about the Chevelle.

    Awsom 50

Bad looking 50 Mercury and the move "Cobra" was pretty bad as well. Pretty kewl looking hub caps. Nicely done Mario.
  20. WOWSER.....good looking 34 Ford. That will get you to the drug store and back in a hurry. Those bomber seats look great. Can't really tell, is that a skull for the shifter knob?
  21. Thanks Tim. I don't really get into the heavy mods like you fella's do but maybe some day I'll give it a go.
  22. I was thinking the Chevelle or the Nova but I don't really know. I'm pretty much a box stock builder and this may be out of my league.
