  1. Those look great Cliff. That red interior looks nice in both cars. I think I like the GTO a little better.
  2. Nice looking Ford. Great job on the pics. Makes it look like a 1:1.
  3. Great looking 57. That blue looks deep and smooth.
  4. Boy that Impala Wagon looks good. Love that engine detail. Nicely done.
  5. Yeah I really like the Flatties and I check them out when the wife and I are at the car shows with our 49 Chevy Pickup. As far as the fenders go.....it was just a thought but I'm not going to get into something that deep. Would look kewl though. I'm just going to run 4 plug wires from each side of the distributor and run them to the plug. Should be fine for me.
  6. I was looking at the distributor this morning wanting to wire it but it's not your traditional type. These old 221 Flatties had the distributor up front mounted directly to the camshaft if memory serves me correct. There was also a rack that ran from the distributor up along side the heads and the plug wires came out of the rack at each spark plug. I think what I will do is drill a hole in each side of the distributor and run 4 plug wires to each head. I did manage to find some red wire that fits over the plugs that I can use as a boot.
  7. Thanks for the info Mark.
  8. Really nice looking bike. When I first started reading this thread I thought the pics were from the bike you were coping. Unbelievable dude. Nice realistic looking.
  9. Thanks Dave. I think the cooler weather and the very low humidity is playing a big part. The paint and clear lacquer just seem to level out so nicely. On the lacquer I think I've found the sweet spot between wet and running.
  10. Thank's for that bit of information.
  11. Thank you sir.
  12. Yup. I still have a lot to do yet.
  13. Ok...I've already got the backing plates glued to the rear axle housing but I had a thought. I was thinking about a 1/2 ton dually wrecker. Anyone ever attempt this???
  14. Nice looking Nissan Steve. That black looks good.
  15. I appreciate the kind words Christophe.
  16. Nice looking pair of classic muscle there KK.
  17. Thank's KK. I appreciate it.
  18. Oh yeah....that's a looker for sure. Your right about painting black but that black is killer dude
  19. Looking pretty kewl there. A "Slant Hemi". That is a little different but I like it. Reminds me of the old slant 6 Dodge came out with back in the day.
  20. Ok....just did a dry fit. I didn't want to set the body down on the fenders to had and take a chance of scratching the paint. Yup, it's already a little to shiny so I'm not going to wet sand it, just polish. I really like the two colors together. Going to be a nice little "Sleeper". I'm a happy camper.
  21. Thanks Ray. I'm thinking now I may just polish the body and fenders as it's already pretty shiny. Once the lacquer drys and I fit the body parts on the chassis I'll know.
  22. Thanks Ray. I wish we had that kind of weather here. I have to watch and make sure the humidity is below 70%. If not the results can be a little milky looking. Don't ask me how I know.
  23. Thanks. Yeah....it's starting to grow on me.
  24. That happened to me on my 32 Sedan and I glued it back and added a small brace.
  25. I got the body parts cleared this morning with lacquer and they came out pretty good. Two light coats and two wet coats with 20 min flash time between coats. I still need to wet sand and polish them. The lighter color on the body is a little darker than I wanted but the Anita's Vanilla Cream I sprayed came out spotty so I used what I had on hand.
