  1. Wow Bruce, so many gorgeous MFH builds... sensory overload! Out of my league from a skills standpoint but tons of fun following your work.
  2. Thank you Andrew. I do w.i.p. for some of my builds because it offers me the possibility to throw questions to other participants to help me with information or build tips. A lot of helpful craftsmen on the forum help me improve my builds.
  3. Thanks Mark, no worries that you missed it. You've been very busy in the NASCAR world while I migrated to road/endurance racing type builds.
  4. Amazing build Seth. It looks so realistic with your weathering techniques. Thanks for sharing your methods, a great learning here.
  5. Not much of it done yet, in WIP Other Racing. Started it after completing the 911 GT1 and 64 Sebring "Turd" Cobra builds
  6. Congratulations Matt, your build is simply brilliant. It is so rich with details every time I go over the pictures I spot something new.
  7. Just curious Andy, I've never seen the Heller kit, is it better than the Revell? I went with Revell thinking that new tooling would be better than old...
  8. I like how you did the switch box. Time to copy one of your ideas again for toggle switches going into the Jag project! ?
  9. Thomas, this looks like a great kit to start with but it's your skills that turns it into a masterpiece! Swedish yellow and blue theme, my all time favorite combo.
  10. More about how I want the car to look than firm knowledge but yes I think the ride height on the kit is on the high side and with some lean not present on production cars or on my race car ref pictures. 11 mm rocker to ground in the rear equates to 10.5 inches. I aimed to bring the top of the rear wheel level to the fender opening and worked out the front to achieve a flat stance. Looking for the model to look a bit like this:
  11. A brief update on what little work I have done in the last 2 weeks due to an unscheduled "medical break" Always early in a build I want to deal with the chassis-body relationship and set wheelbase, track and ride height. A chassis mock up and measurements, I will want to drop the ride height by about 2-2,5 mm in the rear and maybe 1-1.5 at the front. (pic with kit wheels) Using 2 mm rods for interaction between chassis axles and the substituted wheels, with slight repositioning to tweak ride height. A small but effective change in my opinion.
  12. Beautiful work Tomasz. I've seen a few of your builds on Brit. and I believe they are the best I have ever seen. Amazing finishes and detailing.
  13. Wonderful build Matt. How did you secure the headlight covers? No adhesive is visible. They look really good.
  14. surface contamination? contaminated paint? ...or ... maybe voodoo... seen any dolls with pins lately?
  15. Paul, it was being your's that inspired me to also change mine to a Pennzoil
  16. Just caught up with this thread Joe. I'm really enjoying your craftsmanship. Good stuff!
  17. Yes, nice rebuild. That vintage kit appears to have a nice engine which is great compared to the curbside only offering from Fujimi.
  18. Who knows what will hold or gain value but in the end I do want to buy with intent to build. That being said all that stash eye candy has motivated me to make a little purchase.
  19. Looks like an interesting salvage operation. What sponsor livery?
  20. Looking at all these beautiful stashes makes me envious. So I might grow mine a bit but I have to make sure to buy stuff I really want to build some day. Dreaming with discipline, is that possible?
  21. He's still in business. He sent me an e-mail apologizing for being up to his eyeballs with new orders. He has yet to ship my order from Dec 14th. So no worries but patience needed.
  22. Not overkill, you are addressing what the kit designer should have done right in the first place. Great fix!
  23. Thanks for looking it up Andy. I'll go with the info I have and if I'm not 100% correct no big deal. Anyhow with this car not being open cockpit...
